Abstract: A person-detecting sensor includes: a range-finding unit that decides whether distance to a detection object falls within a predetermined detection distance range; and a specular reflection decision unit that decides whether reflected light is specularly-reflected light. The specular reflection decision unit performs a threshold determination regarding the count of pixels or the proportion of pixels exhibiting a received-light quantity of a predetermined proportion or greater with respect to the maximum received-light quantity among received-light quantities from the reflected light and decides that the reflected light is specularly-reflected light when the count of the pixels or the proportion of the pixels is a predetermined threshold or less.

Abstract: The present invention provides a plumbing fixture fitting having a spray mode with improved spray performance. The fitting includes a spray face. The spray face includes nozzles. The nozzles are operable to deliver water from the spray face in the form of a spray. The spray includes streamlets. A velocity of the spray from each of the streamlets is greater than approximately two-hundred fifty inches per second at a flowing pressure of approximately sixty pounds per square inch. In exemplary embodiments, each of the streamlets has a substantially uniform width along an entire length of the streamlet, an average unbroken length of the streamlets is greater than approximately two inches at a flow rate of approximately thirty-seven thousandths gallons per minute, and a splash created from the spray is less than approximately twenty percent at approximately one and a half gallons per minute.

Abstract: A urinal includes a urinal body having a top portion, a left sidewall, a right sidewall, and a rear wall, which define an internal cavity, and a bowl having a concave shape. The top portion includes a plenum chamber defined therein, which is configured to receive flush water and is in in fluid communication with the internal cavity of the urinal body via a plurality of baffle holes. A flow restrictor is disposed within the plenum chamber to slow a velocity of water flowing through the plenum chamber. The rear wall of the urinal body includes at least two angled portions extending laterally inward and rearward from the left and right sidewalls. The angled portions meet in a rounded corner. The at least two angled portions and the rounded corner are configured to deflect urine striking the rear wall such that the urine remains within the internal cavity.

Abstract: A sink faucet assembly that includes a sink faucet and a filter faucet combined together into a single unit. The sink faucet is of the single-handle type for mixing hot and cold water and includes a body member, base, or escutcheon mount upon which the filter faucet is attached. The filter faucet includes a faucet body and spout that may dispense filtered water from an undersink filter and it may further include a water filter fluidly disposed between the faucet body and spout. A filter replacement kit is provided in an embodiment that includes a generally inline water filter, an optional water spout, and an elongated hollow tubular stem adapter attachable to the filter faucet body in a generally push-in manner.

Abstract: A toilet bowl cover apparatus includes a lid housing having a lower portion and an upper portion extending upwardly from a rear end of the lower portion, the portions together defining a continuous interior channel. A flexible lid member is situated in the interior channel and slidably movable between a retracted configuration substantially in the interior channel of the upper portion and a deployed configuration substantially in the interior channel of the lower portion. A toilet seat is operatively coupled to a top surface of the lid housing and selectively movable between raised and lowered configuration. The lower portion of the lid housing defines an opening complementary to a center opening of the toilet seat and to an open top of the toilet bowl. Therefore, the lid member prevents communication between the toilet bowl and the toilet seat the deployed configuration and allows communication therebetween at the retracted configuration.

A water line runs from the toilet's water source to the receptacle (2) for rinsing it and the conjoined waste-tube (11). Embodiments vary between the waste-tube (11) leading to the toilet bowl (12) or sewer-line (39), the manual or semi-automatic upright return of the arm (3), methods for securing the leg (4), and methods for controlling water dispersion to and in the receptacle (2) for rinsing.

Abstract: An automatic water faucet includes: a water faucet; an imaging unit provided in a water discharge port of the water faucet and that images light reflected from a measure-distance target; a distance measurement unit that measures a distance from the imaging unit to the measure-distance target based on image data; a threshold setting unit that sets a threshold for distance; a detection unit that detects the measure-distance target as a detection object if the distance is shorter than the threshold set by the threshold setting unit; and a water supply control unit that causes the water faucet to discharge water in response to the detection unit detecting a detection object and causes the water faucet to stop supplying water in response to the detection unit not detecting a detection object. The threshold setting unit increases the threshold setting in response to the detection unit detecting a detection object.

The line may be fixedly attached to the line attachment block. The line attachment block may be at least partially captured within the track. The cover attachment block may be at least partially captured within the track. The cover attachment block may be fixedly attached to a first lateral edge of the pool cover. The longitudinal edge of the cover attachment block may include a saddle configured to trap the line attachment block. The line attachment the line attachment block is free of attachment to the cover attachment block.

Abstract: A system for repelling mosquitoes near a spa (referred to herein as a “Zika Mist System” or “ZMS”) includes a string of misting devices interconnected in fluid communications for mounting on a spa tub structure in order to produce an insect-repelling, spa-water mist over the spa from chemically treated spa water taken from the spa. The ZMS includes a misting pump for delivering pressurized spa water from an outlet on the misting pump to the string of misting devices via an outlet line component of the ZMS; it also includes an input line for coupling an inlet of the misting pump in fluid communications with a water-holding portion of the spa (e.g., preferably doing so via a drain assembly on the spa). A mosquito-repelling spa includes a spa tub structure on which is mounted such a ZMS.
