Abstract: A toy vehicle such as a child's toy truck or tricycle which includes a toy citizens band radio is disclosed. A microphone of the CB vehicle toy is detachable from the vehicle body except for an electrical wire connecting the microphone to the electronics in the vehicle toy. The microphone is designed to be hand-held by a child playing with the toy. When the toy CB radio is turned on and the transmit button on the microphone is on, then sounds received by the microphone are transmitted through a speaker associated with the vehicle toy. In the receive mode, the toy CB radio generates static similar to that heard over a real CB radio when receiving.

Abstract: A ballast excavation chain arrangement includes a polygonal chain guide and an endless ballast excavation link chain supported therein. The lower portions of two longitudinally extending guide sections are connected to respective ends of a transversely extending guide section and the latter guide section and a portion of the link chain is mounted for extension transversely of, and below, the track for excavating ballast. Hydraulic drives are provided for laterally adjusting at least the lower portions of the longitudinally extending guide sections for selectively extending the chain guide to the right and to the left of the track.

Abstract: A dental implant of biocompatable material includes a body provided with a head for supporting bridgework or an artificial tooth and having a shaft which is provided with a series of exterior peripheral surfaces of diminishing cross-section to define a series of stepped thrust resisting surfaces perpendicular to the axis of the shaft with the proximal end of the shaft being smooth.

Abstract: A combination hay conveying belt and working element is provided which comprises a belt made primarily of elastomeric material and having an inner compression section, a load-carrying section and an outer tension section, the tension section having grooves disposed transverse to the endless path of the belt, and a working element attached exteriorly to the belt within each groove by means substantially conforming to at least a portion of the groove. Also provided is a hay or vegetation gathering apparatus which employs at least one of the above belts in combination with the working elements so that the belts travel parallel to the ground and the working elements extend perpendicular to the ground.

Abstract: An improved frame section which is adapted to be mounted in a beehive in abutting relationship with a plurality of similar frame sections for making round comb honey. A plurality of circular openings are formed by cylindrical walls in each of the frame sections. A plurality of cylindrically shaped, horizontally extending chambers or "rounds" are formed by abutting pairs of the cylindrical walls of adjacent frame sections. The cylindrical frame walls each have a pair of arcuate zones of reduced axial lengths with respect to a second pair of intervening arcuate zones of greater axial lengths. The smaller axial length zones form a series of top and bottom openings along the frames when assembled, to provide access openings for the bees to the interior chambers. A ring is telescopically seated within each of the frame openings to form the sidewalls of a container for the formed combs.

Abstract: A holder for turbine-driven dental tools such as drills. The holder is made of two-parts comprising an elongated shank and an anglepiece having a head in which is mounted an air-driven turbine for driving the dental tools. Provision is made by a coupling structure for attachably coupling the anglepiece to the shank. A finger-grip sleeve is provided on the coupling structure that allows the holder to be held in position while angularly positioning the holder angularly at set angular positions relative to the sleeve. The operator can thus hold the holder at a desired position and still rotate the anglepiece angularly by rotating the shank about its axis.

Abstract: A mowing machine has mowing units that are connected to a tractor's three point lifting device or devices at the front and/or rear side of the tractor. The units can be pivoted to an intermediate frame portion to extend laterally of that portion and hydraulic assemblies are connected to pivot each unit to a raised inoperative or transport position. The units each include a respective reciprocating cutter bar, and a crushing device with guides to move cut crop to the device. A drum mower can be positioned between the cutter bars. In another arrangement, a further unit can be attached at the front, with respect to the direction of machine travel. The frame portion includes beams that can form a sliding support for the frame portion and the units pivoted to that portion. Each unit can have vertical side walls and a driving transmission. Swath boards on the rear of each portion guide crop away from the tractor wheels.

Abstract: The present improved display device permits the improved viewing of such specimens as transparent films, both negatives and positives, translucent objects, such as drawings and water-color prints, selected minerals, and opaque objects smaller than the viewing plate of the device.The device is inexpensive to make and use and operates economically on a low wattage light source. The device includes an open topped box with a light, such as a low wattage electric light, therein. To the top of the box is affixed a translucent display sheet, while a frame which is preferably glassed in, is hingedly connected to overlie the display sheet so that speciments can be easily placed on and removed from the display sheet.The distance and angle between the light and the display sheet preferably can be varied so as to provide different display effects. In one embodiment, the light is secured at a distance from the center on the box bottom and the sidewalls with attached display sheet are rotated relative thereto.

Abstract: A damage-free actuating mechanism for an action toy of the type in which an object is reciprocally moved between retracted and extended positions in response to the rotation of a pair of wheels. The actuating mechanism comprises a crankshaft secured to a pair of wheels, and a pivotal lever coupling the crank of the crankshaft to the object. Accordingly, normal rotation of the wheels and crankshaft imparts reciprocal movement to the object between retracted and extended positions. A fulcrum of the actuating mechanism is provided in engagement with one portion of the lever, and a resilient member biases the one portion of the lever into engagement with the fulcrum during normal rotation of the wheels and crankshaft. The resilient member further allows the one portion of the lever to move away from the fulcrum in those situations in which the object is manually pushed from its extended position to its retracted position while the wheels and crankshaft are stationary.

Abstract: An animal fumigating unit is provided for defleaing animals. The unit comprises a container having a rotatively displaceable rear wall and having an opening in the front wall to enable the head of a contained animal to project exteriorly of the container. A flexible material is attached to the container and covers the opening. Radially symmetrical slits in the material intersect in alignment with the center of the opening enabling the material to fit firmly around the animal's neck.

Abstract: An apparatus for and method of forming accurate hinge axis tooth positioners prepares models of the upper and lower teeth of a patient with the teeth relocated to predetermined positions, takes an interocclusal record of the prepared models mounted on an articulator in the occlusal position but spaced apart the thickness of the tooth positioner material, duplicates the models and mounts them on a correlator in indexed engagement with the interocclusal record, removes the interocclusal record from between the duplicated models and substitutes therein a resilient deformable material, returns the duplicated models to the established interocclusal record position to form impressions of the teeth in the material, and cures the material through the application of heat.

Abstract: A spring cushioning mounting for beet harvesting devices to permit upward movement of the harvester should the same engage a rock or the like including an attachment, L-shaped member mounted on the carrier for the harvester to engage a tool mounting bar and be received therearound and a pivot secured to the tool mounting bar with the upward leg of the L-shaped member pivotally received therein and spring loading elements connecting the other leg of the L-shaped member with the pivot member to normally bring the L-shaped member into position against the tool bar.

Abstract: A prosthetic preform comprised of a hard base into which are molded the posterior prosthetic teeth, with the anterior prosthetic teeth being mounted in a waxy material contained in a cavity or cavities disposed in the hard base. The preform is further provided with a formable deflectable layer secured to the hard base structure and adapted to be fit to the general contours of the wearer's mouth with an impression material used to line the tissue surface of the deflectable layer to obtain an impression of the intimate detail of the edentulous tissue. The anterior teeth may thus be adjusted in position during fitting and/or anatomical features carved. A mold is made of the anterior teeth and exposed waxy material after fitting which allows casting the fitted anterior teeth in hard base material to the remainder of the hard base structure.

Abstract: A toy block shipbuilding kit, with specially formed pieces to provide realistic ships stems and sterns. A number of first blocks are provided with curved sides, and interlocking projections and projection-receiving portions formed on the top and bottom faces. When stacked upon each other, the blocks are staggered and form a continuous upwardly sloping stem or stern portion, and can interlock with other conventional parallelepiped blocks to form the ship body. Specialty second blocks are provided for forming the top or bottom terminations of stacked first blocks, and specialty third blocks may be provided having sides extending above the top faces thereof to constitute side rails for a ship's stem and stern.

Abstract: An animal collar having a member which disperses a chemical to rid the animal of fleas and ticks wherein the chemical-carrying member is periodically replaced for extended use of the collar. The chemical-carrying member is removably attached to the collar for easy replacement when the supply of chemical is exhausted.

Abstract: A combination mirror and display device for displaying photographs and the like. The device comprises a display unit reversably mounted on a rigid planar support member adapted to sit on a desk, credenza, dressing table or the like in a free standing configuration. Magnetic strips hold the display unit securely in position on the support member. When the display unit is positioned on the support member with the photograph side facing outwardly the unit appears to be a conventional picture frame. Due to its unique design, however, the display unit can readily be reversed so that the device can conveniently be used as a free standing mirror.

Abstract: A mower mounting apparatus for mounting an offset mower to a vehicle having a plurality of parallel links pivotally mounted about first pivot axis to maintain the mower at the same inclination upon pivoting of the links to raise and lower the motor and pivotally mounted about second pivot axis lying in vertical planes for horizontal swinging movements of the links to allow rearward non-rotational translation of the mower when the mower strikes an obstacle.

Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic horse-feeding system in which a measured amount of feed is supplied to one or more horses at frequent intervals during the feeding day of the horse. The system is characterized by a central hopper and a feed-distribution system comprising a motor-driven shaft which provides the multiple functions of agitating the feed within the hopper while driving an impeller distribution assembly which apportions the feed into one or more chutes in the predetermined measured amount. A manually-controllable damper assembly allows for simultaneously feeding different horses at different rates from the same feed hopper, while an adjustable-control circuit provides for presetting of both the interval between feedings and the amount of each feeding.

Abstract: An indexing device for storing the information such as telephone numbers and addresses. When one of a plurality of push-buttons with index codes is pressed, some of the numerous cards internally housed are lifted and retained by the cover at the time the cover opens, to show a selected card. The cover has, internally on one side, a projection to engage one side of the card stack when the cover is closed and has on the other side, a card-grip to hold the cards lifted when the button is pressed. The projection supports one side of the cards when the cards are lifted, and it enlarges the lifting amount of the other side (the card-grip side) of the lifted cards.

Abstract: A space toy including an outer casing which resembles a flying saucer and houses a radio receiver and a blinking light system. Three legs project beneath the bottom of the casing, with one leg being connected to the radio to provide an on/off switch and for volume adjustment. Another leg is connected to the radio for tuning purposes. The casing includes a turret which houses a plurality of lights which are connected into a system for causing them to blink on and off in a haphazard manner. The turret includes a dome and upstanding therefrom is a switch lever which resembles an antenna and which turns the lighting system on and off.
