  • Patent number: 4206564
Abstract: A robot doll made up of a plurality of diverse shaped pieces wherein each pair of pieces are joined together by a press fit joint is disclosed. The pieces that make up the body and limbs of the robot doll are jointed for articulate movement. Each arm features a pair of parallel jointed extensions mounted for articulate movement to a main shoulder piece that is attached to the body piece. The parallel jointed extensions are adapted for grasping a missile launcher. The arms of the robot doll are formed from pieces that become the trunk and leg portions of a smaller toy doll. Small heads and small articulated arms are provided and may be attached by stub-cup joints to the trunk portion of the toy doll, thus converting the robot arm into a smaller toy doll. The trunk portion of the robot doll is formed so that it can be used as the main body portion of a toy airplane. Pieces such as wings, a nose, and tail portion are provided and can be attached to the trunk by press fit joints to form an airplane.

  • Patent number: 4205443
Abstract: A dowel pin for removably mounting a dental model cast relative to a base cast, the dowel pin being a two-part structure to define a head portion and a shank portion extending therefrom, where the portions are threadedly engaged together in an axial alignment with each other. The head portion is adapted to be fixedly secured in the dental model cast so that the exposed end thereof is flush with a flat surface of the dental model cast. The shank portion is adapted to be removably insertable into a complimentary opening provided in the base cast, preferably with a sleeve member being provided in the opening to slidably receive the shank portion therein. The portions are selectively engageable and disengageable from each other whether or not the model cast is mounted upon the base cast. Accordingly, the dental model cast can easily be cut into segments after the head portion is secured therein.

  • Patent number: 4204352
Abstract: In an index selector device of the kind for use with a stack of index cards housed between a base and a lid hinged together and having a selector on the lid to release the lid after moving card-engaging members into engagement with a card so as to raise all the cards in the stack above the one required, the selector is a plurality of push buttons, one to each card-engaging member, arranged in two rows at right angles to the hinge. Interengaging inclined surfaces on each push button and card-engaging member cause lateral sliding movement of the card-engaging member on depression of the push button. A hook on the card-engaging member moves under the edge of the card above the one required and co-operating inclined surfaces on the inner end of the card-engaging device and a central catch bar cause the catch bar to release the lid. A barb on the card-engaging member hooks into a recess on the catch bar to hold the card-engaging member in the card-engaging position while the lid is open.
