Abstract: A system for displaying products or services for purchase on any document displayed on any computer device, comprising conducting a statistical frequency analysis of the word occurrence in the document to determine the primary subject matter of the document and/or keywords in the document, selecting products which are relevant to the subject matter and keywords of the document, either by manual selection or by automatic selection. Conducting a statistical frequency analysis of the word occurrence in the product or service descriptions, to determine the keywords in the product descriptions, and matching the keywords from the document with the keywords from the product descriptions accomplish automatic selection.
Abstract: A method of managing ideas includes the following steps: (a) maintaining a computer database for accumulating ideas for prospectively patentable inventions; (b) systematically establishing contractual obligations by contributors of said ideas to said database to transfer property rights to inventions respectively derived at least in part from said contributed ideas to a proprietor of said database or to a party in concert with said proprietor; and (c) prior to filing any patent applications for inventions respectively derived at least in part from said accumulated ideas, systematically publishing said accumulated ideas.

Abstract: A method for improved data sharing within a cluster of nodes having a database management system. The method defines a virtual replicated table as being useable in a hybrid of a shared-cache and shared-nothing architecture. The virtual replicated table is a physically single table sharable among a plurality of cluster nodes for data read operations and not sharable with other cluster nodes for data modification operations. Default owner node is assigned for each virtual replicated table to ensure the page validity and provide requested pages to the requesting node.

Abstract: A portable database can be used by a client organization with substantial numbers of patents to identify target organizations that may be interested in licensing said patents. The database combines the power of citation analysis for identifying licensing targets with the power of citation neighbor searching for identifying similar patents and for overcoming some of the weaknesses inherent with citation analysis. A company can identify targets outside of its core industry that may be interested in licensing the technology in its patents.
Abstract: Information is generated indicative of frequency of search terms presented to at least one online search service. As event indications, indicative of user interaction generally with front end servers, are being provided for persistent storage, ones of the event indications that are indicative of search events are detected. The detected ones of the search event indications are processed and it is determined, based at least in part thereon, by location, frequency data indicative of a frequency of each of a plurality of search terms presented to the at least one online search service. An indication of at least some of the frequency data is caused to be associated with indications of locations to which the frequency data corresponds. Abstract: The food safety system and method of the present invention provides a comprehensive consumer risk distribution model, which can be applied to any food item. Additionally, the present invention automatically evaluates consumer risk based on how much contaminated food is at each stage of the food distribution process according to the consumer risk distribution model, allowing for quick and accurate determinations as to the efficacy of a trace recall effort. A further element of the present invention provides expert analysis of data to detect and identify food events from sporadic information. Finally, the real time detection system provides early warning data in order to intercept isolated food contamination events before the contaminated food products reach the consuming public.

In one preferred embodiment of the present invention an optional focus timer is activated by the view triggering event to allow an accurate assessment of the actual time a viewer focuses on the display in the post-session platform.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for managing information is disclosed. The information is stored in a database accessible to a plurality of users. A part of the information is isolated from the database. A user can modify the isolated part of the information. The modified information is compared with the isolated information and a set of changes is extracted from the comparison. The set of changes are appended to the information in the database. Each part of the information in the database has a version associated with it. When changes to a part of the information are appended, the modified part is versioned in an incremental fashion. Prior versions of a part of the information can be accessed and modified by the users.

An effective interaction is conducted by giving the user adequate information during information search so as to improve the search efficiency and accuracy. A CPU initially sets a set G containing deleted solution candidates to null and receives input for a search question Q from the user (S1). A computing system is disclosed which provides for the high speed recording and extraction of data objects (entities) and for the development data representing a queried relationship between the entities. The system is expandable to handle the relatively voluminous data bases of large, commercial data repositories. A user defines set of entities and allowed relationships between the entities. The user can expand this set of allowed entities and relationships at any time during the life of the system without reprogramming or compiling of computer program code or disrupting concurrent operational use of the system. Large systems can now be built that are no longer limited to a scope of design requirements known during initial systems development.
