Abstract: The present invention therefore provides a modular system for constraining milk flow in a pressure-dependent and/or controlled manner. Due to the modular concept, the required properties of the device can be adjusted in an efficient manner. For example, it is possible to adapt the connection to a milk line, i.e., the geometry of the connection arrangement, specifically to the existing conditions of the milking stall and the milking system. The pressure-dependent constraining when milking can be adjusted specifically for a single teat or in pairs for two teats by using a respective module component. If necessary, adjustment of the range for reliable switching can be performed by selecting suitable spring components and/or by adapting the flow resistance. The flow resistance is adjustable by using a suitable connection arrangement and/or by exchanging a modular flow body.
Abstract: Devices used to provide water to a container plant are disclosed. The devices may be configured to collect and retain water from saturated soil and then to distribute the collected water to dry soil. The devices may comprise a reservoir, a collection lid, and a wick. The devices may be configured to be disposed within a plant container.
Abstract: An apparatus for cultivating plants may include a cabinet forming a space in which plants are cultivated; a door connected to the cabinet to open and close the space; at least one bed disposed in the space and configured to support at least one seed package accommodating a medium including seeds; and at least one light assembly that radiates light to the at least one seed package on the at least one bed. The light assembly may include at least one LED module including a plurality of LED groups; a light case that covers an upper portion of the at least one LED module; and a light cover coupled to the light cover and supporting a lower portion of the at least one LED module.
Abstract: A teat cup sleeve constructed from two connectable sleeve parts, a modular teat cup system and a corresponding method for the application of a modular teat cup sleeve are provided. The modular design of the teat cup sleeve allows a versatile adaptation of one teat cup to different milking conditions, for example by changing one sleeve part while retaining the other sleeve part with the necessary connection arrangement.
Abstract: A portable livewell comprises a buoyant top frame, hinged lid, hinged trapdoor, and a removable mesh net capable of nesting within the buoyant top frame. The livewell further comprises a length of cordage secured at a first end to the livewell and a second end to a ground stake. A pair of handles are secured on opposite ends of the buoyant top frame.
Abstract: The portable leash anchor is configured for use with one or more leashes. The one or more leashes attach to the portable leash anchor. The portable leash anchor is a portable structure that: a) forms a handle for the one or more leashes when walking an animal; and, b) creates a plurality of anchor points that temporarily anchor the one or more leashes to a fixed position. The portable leash anchor comprises a first hyoid and a second hyoid. The first hyoid attaches to the one or more leashes. The first hyoid is a stake structure that can be driven into the ground to form the plurality of anchor points. The second hyoid is a sheath structure that affixes with the first hyoid to form a square-shaped body when the portable leash anchor is used as a handle.
Abstract: A bird feeder which comprises a seed container having at least one seed port to permit birds to have access to seed, a shroud extending about the seed port, a base member being secured to the seed container, a hollow tube extending upwardly from the base member and being located internally of the seed container, a rod extending within the hollow tube and a spring extending about a portion of the rod, the rod having a flange extending outwardly to bias a first end of the spring, an insert secured to the base member, the insert extending upwardly into the hollow tube with a second end of the spring being biased against the insert, the rod having a lower end secured against a bottom portion of the shroud.
Abstract: A fishing line management device, including a body defining a passage therethrough, the body defining a first attachment point, a second attachment point, and first and second wings extending therefrom; a substantially triangular keel disposed within the passage; and a rudder movably coupled to the body. The rudder may be selectably positionable at a plurality of preset angular positions, wherein the rudder stays in place once positioned at one of the plurality of preset angular positions.
