    Abstract: A method and device are disclosed for opportunistic compression of routing segment identifiers. In one embodiment, the method includes participating in routing of a first data packet through a first node in a network, and subsequently entering into an arrangement with an adjacent node in the network. The first data packet includes a first plurality of routing segment identifiers, and additional data packets to be routed through the first node also include the first plurality of routing segment identifiers. The arrangement entered into includes representation of the first plurality of routing segment identifiers by a single compression identifier. The method further includes participating in routing of at least one of the additional data packets using the compression identifier instead of the first plurality of routing segment identifiers. In an embodiment, the device includes one or more network interfaces and a processor configured to perform the steps of the method.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for path selection. A packet can be transparently intercepted at an intermediary device. Next, the intermediary device may modify one or more bits in the header of the packet. The intermediary device can then forward the packet to the next hop device. In some network configurations, the modifications to the one or more bits in the header of the packet may cause a downstream device to select a path that is different from the path that would have been selected by the downstream device if the one or more bits in the header of the packet had not been modified. A path selection policy can be used to determine whether or not one or more bits in the header of the packet are to be modified.

    Abstract: A self-interference signal cancellation circuit includes a transmitter for transmitting a transmit signal, a plurality of signal paths, a controller, and a receiver for receiving a signal. Each signal path includes a delay element and a variable attenuator having attenuation levels set by the controller. A combiner generates an output signal by combining outputs of the signal paths. The circuit computes a matrix based on first and second output signals associated with first and second attenuation levels. The controller concurrently varies the attenuation level of each signal path so that a product of the matrix and the attenuation levels of the signal paths is substantially equal to the received signal. The circuit may iteratively compute the matrix using different transmit signal frequencies or with an FFT. The controller iteratively varies the attenuation level of the attenuators until a sum of the product and the received signal satisfies a predefined condition.

The radio base station does not perform in-phase addition when the number of interfering radio wave beams of which interference can be suppressed by the mobile terminal is equal to or greater than the number of radio base stations that send interfering radio wave beams to the mobile terminal.

Each of the CFPs are configured to only learn the MAC address in unicast frames it receives and each of the HFPs can be configured to learn the MAC address of both unicast and multicast data frames provided the destination MAC address included in the unicast frame is known.
