  • Patent number: 11435756
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing visual odometry more rapidly. Pairs of representations from sensor data (such as images from one or more cameras) are selected, and features common to both representations of the pair are identified. Portions of bundle adjustment matrices that correspond to the pair are updated using the common features. These updates are maintained in register memory until all portions of the matrices that correspond to the pair are updated. By selecting only common features of one particular pair of representations, updated matrix values may be kept in registers. Accordingly, matrix updates for each common feature may be collectively saved with a single write of the registers to other memory. In this manner, fewer write operations are performed from register memory to other memory, thus reducing the time required to update bundle adjustment matrices and thus speeding the bundle adjustment process.

  • Patent number: 11419542
Abstract: Monitoring the quality of sleep of an individual is essential for ensuring one's overall well-being. The existing methods for non-apnea sleep arousal detection are manual. A system and method for the non-apnea sleep arousal detection has been provided. The method uses a feature engineering based binary classification approach for distinguishing non-apnea arousal and non-arousal. A training data set is prepared using a plurality of physiological signals. A plurality of features are derived from the training data set. Out of those only a set of features are selected for training a plurality of random forest classifier models. A test sample is then provided to the plurality of random forest classifier models in the instances of fixed duration. This results in generation of prediction probabilities for each instances. The prediction probabilities are then used to predict the probabilities of non-apnea sleep arousal in the test sample.

  • Patent number: 11412108
Abstract: Techniques for efficiently identifying objects of interest in an environment and, thereafter, determining the location and/or orientation of those objects. As described below, a system may analyze images captured by a camera to identify objects that may be represented by the images. These objects may be identified in the images based on their size, color, and/or other physical attributes. After identifying these potential objects, the system may define a region around each object for further inspection. Thereafter, portions of a depth map of the environment corresponding to these regions may be analyzed to determine whether any of the objects identified from the images are “objects of interest”—or objects that the system has previously been instructed to track. These objects of interest may include portable projection surfaces, a user's hand, or any other physical object. The techniques identify these objects with reference to the respective depth signatures of these objects.

  • Patent number: 11340437
Abstract: The technology disclosed relates to structured illumination microscopy (SIM). In particular, the technology disclosed relates to capturing and processing, in real time, numerous image tiles across a large image plane, dividing them into subtiles, efficiently processing the subtiles, and producing enhanced resolution images from the subtiles. The enhanced resolution images can be combined into enhanced images and can be used in subsequent analysis steps. The technology disclosed includes logic to reduce computing resources required to produce an enhanced resolution image from structured illumination of a target. A method is described for producing an enhanced resolution image from images of a target captured under structured illumination. This method applies one or more transformations to non-redundant data and then recovers redundant data from the non-redundant data after the transformations.
