Abstract: Various examples of the present disclosure include a stereoscopic deep neural network (DNN) that produces accurate and reliable results in real-time. Both LIDAR data (supervised training) and photometric error (unsupervised training) may be used to train the DNN in a semi-supervised manner. The stereoscopic DNN may use an exponential linear unit (ELU) activation function to increase processing speeds, as well as a machine learned argmax function that may include a plurality of convolutional layers having trainable parameters to account for context. The stereoscopic DNN may further include layers having an encoder/decoder architecture, where the encoder portion of the layers may include a combination of three-dimensional convolutional layers followed by two-dimensional convolutional layers.

A first motion value is computed based at least in part on a sum of differences between corresponding pixels in the first image and the second image. A second motion value is computed further based at least in part on a third image. An impact score is generated based at least in part on a difference between values derived from the first motion value and the second motion value and an action is performed depending at least in part on whether the impact score indicates that damage has occurred among objects represented in the first image and the second image.

Abstract: A first processing module receives image data transferred from a controller, and executes image processing and a second processing module receives the image data transferred from the controller via the first processing module and executes image processing on the image data. The controller determines color components, of the plurality of color components of the image data, to be processed by the first processing module and the second processing module, based on at least communication amounts produced between the first processing module and the second processing module. Processed data having undergone the image processing performed by the first processing module based on the determined color components is transferred to the controller, and processed data having undergone the image processing performed by the second processing module based on the determined color components is transferred to the controller via the first processing module.

Abstract: The language of a remote session can be synchronized with a client's language. A client-side synchronizer can be configured to detect when a client establishes a remote session on a server, whether to access a remote desktop or a remote application. When the client-side synchronizer detects the establishment of a remote session, it can access client-side language settings to gather language information and send it to a server-side synchronizer. The server-side synchronizer can then employ the language information to modify server-side language settings applicable the remote session so that the remote desktop or remote application will employ language settings that match the client-side language settings. In this way, the remote desktop or remote application will be in the language that the user expects even if the server's predefined language settings do not match user's language.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for user authentication with acoustic fingerprinting are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes generating, in response to an authentication request from a given device, an instruction for an acoustic output to be emitted and recorded by the given device; obtaining the recorded acoustic output from the given device; creating an acoustic fingerprint by applying one or more signal processing algorithms to the recorded acoustic output; processing the acoustic fingerprint and one or more items of information pertaining to the given device against historical authentication data; and resolving the authentication request in response to a determination that the acoustic fingerprint and the one or more items of information pertaining to the given device match at least a portion of the historical authentication data.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for image recognition based on a retina prosthesis. The method includes: recognizing meaning of an image captured; and converting the meaning of the image into a corresponding meaning prompt signal and transmitting the meaning prompt signal to a corresponding retina prosthesis electrode in connection with a retina. The method can effectively improve the problem that the existing retina prosthesis cannot recognize colors or complex scenes, enhance the recognition function of the retina prosthesis, and improve the quality of life of blind patients.
