  • Patent number: 11880025
Abstract: An optical system to divide a light flux from an object plane includes a first curved-surface mirror, and second, third, and fourth reflecting portions. The second reflecting portion divides and reflects light flux from the first curved-surface mirror to respective different positions on the first curved-surface mirror as first light fluxes. The third reflecting portion reflects, as third light fluxes, the first light fluxes. The fourth reflecting portion reflects the third light fluxes from the third reflecting portion. A number of reflective surfaces of each of the third and fourth reflecting portions on which the first and third light fluxes are incident is the same as a division number in the dividing of the light flux into the second light fluxes. The first and third light fluxes are reflected by the respective third and fourth reflecting portions to be image-formed so that divided images of the object plane are formed.

  • Patent number: 11879836
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for generating a first light wave by an emitter of the sensor system and detecting a second light wave by a detector of the sensor system. The second light wave is detected in response to the first light wave being reflected from a target object. The sensor system includes a first converter that obtains a first temperature measurement from a temperature sensor of the sensor system at least when the first light wave is generated or when the second light wave is detected. A temperature controller computes temperature coefficients to regulate a temperature of the sensor system. Each of the temperature coefficients are computed based on a difference between the first temperature and a reference temperature. The temperature controller generates a control signal to regulate the temperature of the sensor system based on the computed temperature coefficients.

  • Patent number: 11867638
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for detecting anomalies in an additively manufactured part. An energy source generates a signal forming an optical beam for creating a melt pool in a layer of feedstock material being selectively fused to make a part in an additive manufacturing operation. A sensor is configured to receive a signal reflected from the melt pool. The reflected signal forms a thermal signal indicative of a temperature of the feedstock material at a known location on a layer of the feedstock material while the feedstock material is being fused at the known location. A controller receives and analyzes data relating to the received signal to determine if an anomaly exists at the known location.
