  • Patent number: 11403677
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods of inserting video content. An application may receive a video content item identifying a plurality of segments. The plurality of segments may have a first segment to play primary video content and a second segment to play supplemental video content. The application may identify the second segment from the plurality of segments. The application may generate, responsive to identifying the second segment, a request for the supplemental video content to play in the second segment of the video content item. The request may include selection parameters. The application may transmit, to at least one server, the request for the supplemental video content to cause the at least one server to select a supplemental video content item using the selection parameters. The application may play the supplemental video content received from the at least one server in the second segment.

  • Patent number: 11386455
Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for providing a unified serving platform that allows for the reusability of machine learning models across a plurality of websites to determine personalized content. For example, a computing device trains a machine learning model with session data identifying browsing events and transaction data identifying purchasing events for a plurality of users. The computing device receives and stores session data and transaction data associated with a first website for the customer. The computing device may then receive a request for content to display to the customer on a second website. The computing device generates label data based on the session data and transaction data associated with the first website, and executes the trained machine learning model with the label data. Based on execution of the trained machine learning model, the computing device generates content to display on the second website, and transmits the content.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a system and method to recommend a targeted advertisement to a user. The system is configured to receive and pre-processes a plurality of data from various sources based on a set of predefined business rules. A set of training data is extracted from the pre-processed plurality of data to develop a machine learning model to identify a set of attributes of personality of the user. A neural network is trained to identify at least one classifier to define one or more needs of the user. It would be appreciated that the one or more needs of the user are mapped with the set of attributes of the personality. Finally, the recommendation module of the system recommends at least one advertisement to a media service provider to share the same over OTT to the user.

  • Patent number: 11282111
Abstract: Two directional data exchange between a mobile navigation system and a listing system enables pricing models and analytics that are responsive to trips initiated in response to location based listings on the navigation system. The data exchange may include information to present the listing to the user, track whether the user elected to begin navigating to the destination based on that listing, intermediate status as the user progresses towards the destination, and an indication that the user arrived at the location. The data may be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the listing in bringing customers to a physical location associated with the listing. The data may be applied in a performance-based pricing model by which pricing for the listing is based in full or in part on the number of trips initiated and/or completed as a result of the listing.

  • Patent number: 11222366
Abstract: An online system selecting content items for presentation to its users accounts for likelihoods of users performing actions associated with content items when selecting content items. The online system maintains models determining likelihoods of users performing various actions. If a content item is associated with an action that infrequently occurs, information for determining the model for the action is limited, so the online system increases a bid amount associated with the content item during a time interval to an amount based on a likelihood of the user performing a more frequently occurring alternative action and an average bid amount for the alternative action from content items previously presented to users. The online system also determines an amount based on the model for the action and the bid amount for during the time interval and stops increasing the bid amount when the rate of change has less than a threshold magnitude.

  • Patent number: 11170405
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for cross-domain tracking of online wireless device activity to provide context aware mobile services. A request to access a first website can be received from a wireless device at a web server such that a first product or service is viewed, wherein code that comprises an identifier is stored on the wireless device. A request to access a second website can be received, wherein the wireless device is configured to access the second website in response to a notification from a wireless beacon associated with a physical storefront. The web server can then retrieve the identifier from the wireless device and retrieve an online activity history for the wireless device based on the identifier. Information associated with the storefront and first product or service can be transmitted to the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 11157955
Abstract: An online system tracks stores information identifying content provided by third party systems and accessed by online system users as well as interactions with advertisements performed by online system users. When the online system identifies an opportunity to present an advertisement to a viewing user, the online system identifies content from third party systems accessed by the viewing user and content from third party systems accessed by additional online system users who interacted with advertisements. A score is computed for various advertisements based at least in part on correlations between content from third party systems accessed by the viewing user and content from third party systems accessed by additional online system users who interacted with advertisements. The online system selects candidate advertisements to evaluate for presentation to the viewing user based on the scores.

  • Patent number: 11127028
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing user offers based on efficient iterative recommendation structures. In various aspects, a server invokes a bi-directional look-up interface via a lookup request, where the bi-directional look-up interface is exposed via an electronic recommendation structure. The lookup request causes the bi-directional look-up interface to return a bi-directional recommendation value. The bi-directional recommendation value indicates a likelihood of a first user selecting a first offer or a second offer. The bi-directional recommendation value is transmitted via a computer network to a client device associated with the first user upon a determination that the likelihood meets or exceeds a recommendation threshold. The client device is operative to display at least one of the first offer or the second offer.
