  • Patent number: 10880691
Abstract: A determination is made that a mobile device is associated with a reference activity of a user based on motion, orientation, rotational, magnetic field, and/or location data provided by sensors of the device. Activity data associated with the reference activity is obtained from the sensor-provided data. The activity data is recorded on the device for a configured period of time after which it is determined that the device is no longer performing the reference activity. The retained activity data for the reference activity is sent from the device to a network-based behavior analyzer when a network connection is available from the device. The network-based behavior analyzer derives user behaviors for the reference activity based on the activity data.

  • Patent number: 10856150
Abstract: Techniques for authenticating a mobile user device at a base station of a mobile network, and more specifically for implementing a distributed ledger based authentication that is shared by multiple base stations of the mobile network is provided. In one or more examples, the base stations of a mobile network can act as nodes in a distributed ledger system. A mobile device seeking to gain access to the mobile network can be provided a distributed ledger identification number by a base station. The distributed ledger identification number can be converted to a block of the distributed ledger, and then transmitted to the other base stations (i.e., nodes) that maintain the same distributed ledger. The mobile device can subsequently use the distributed ledger identification number for future access requests at either the same base station, or any of the other base stations that maintain the same distributed ledger.

  • Patent number: 10841731
Abstract: Architecture that enables geofence combinations and compositions where multiple correlated geofences are generated for an entity such as a point of interest. The geofences can have varying radii relative to a specific entity and represent distinct areas or aspects of the entity. The geofences can relate to correspondingly different categories to which the entity can belong. The geofences can be of differing shapes than circular, such as polygons (e.g., rectangles, squares, etc.). Moreover, these differently shaped geofences can be applied to a single entity. Each geofence of a geofence set associated with an entity can be assigned to represent different parts of an entity such as a part a shopping mall. Geofence composition is obtained by combining multiple primitive geofences to compose more complex geofence(s) for an entity and for embedding the relationship of the primitive geofences into such compositions.

  • Patent number: 10827310
Abstract: A method is described for operating an asset tracking device, wherein the tracking device normally collects many location points at a high periodic rate and transmits the location points as a single compressed location history data block at a low periodic rate, which greatly reduces the amount of transmitted data required to send a detailed location history. When a user begins actively viewing the asset location in some application such as on a mobile device, a command is immediately sent from the tracking server back to the tracking device. This command causes the device to start transmitting location reports at a high periodic rate, thereby allowing the user to monitor the current location of the asset in real-time. Transmission at the high data rate required for real-time monitoring only occurs while the user is actively interacting with the application, which is usually a short period of time.

  • Patent number: 10805902
Abstract: A chained wireless communication system is provided. The system includes a main node and a plurality of communication nodes. The communication nodes are chained to form a chain network. The communication node can switch roles among a master connection unit, a slave connection unit and a signal scanning unit. The signal scanning unit can scan nearby terminal devices and generate scan packets. The scan packets are transmitted to neighboring communication nodes via the slave connection unit. The master connection unit of the neighboring communication node receives the scan packets. The scan packets are then delivered to the main node via this chain network. The main node retrieves a message delivered from the terminal device according to an identification message from the scan packets. The message delivered from the terminal device is used to locate the terminal device, notify an emergency event or serve as a sensing signal.
