Abstract: Techniques for inferring a professional reputation for a member of an online social networking service are described. A recommendation graph is generated from professional recommendations submitted by members of the online social networking service for other members of the online social networking service. Using the generated recommendation graph, a reputation model is trained to learn a respective importance for each respective feature of a set of features of electronic profiles on the online social networking service. A professional reputation of a member of the online social networking service is estimated by applying the trained reputation model to a feature vector of the electronic profile of the member, producing a score representing the professional reputation of the member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for generating demand groups. The system receives demand group modeling data including a product listing, point of sales data, available econometric data and product information. Attributes may then be assigned to the products based upon product identifiers, size, flavor, brand, and product descriptions utilizing natural language processing. The products may then be clustered according to the attributes and point of sales data. One or more decision trees may be generated for the product listings using the point of sales data. Demand rules may be received, which may be applied to the product clusters and the decision trees to generate demand groups. A confidence score may be generated for each product indicating how well that product fits within the demand group. These confidence scores may be compared against a threshold. Products with scores below the threshold may be flagged for user review.

Abstract: A technique is disclosed for ranking venues and for providing a user with one or more of the ranked venues. To do so, a data processing system trains a model during a first, training sequence, by using a training dataset of past check-ins that were made by users visiting venues. The trained model, representing a learned hypothesis, represents venues that are ranked according to their relevance to users who are also represented by the model. During a second, run-time sequence, the system receives real-time geolocation data that represents users and generates a set of candidate venues for a user by determining venues that are nearby the geolocation of the user. The system then ranks the generated candidate venues by applying the learned hypothesis. One or more of the ranked venues can be provided to a user's wireless terminal, for example, where they can be presented as venue recommendations.

Abstract: Systems and methods for scheduling events are described. In some embodiments, a method comprises: at a computer system, obtaining a request to schedule a calendar event including a plurality of constraints. In response to the request, a plurality of candidate calendar events that meets at least two of the plurality of constraints is obtained. The plurality of candidate calendar events and a plurality of user-editable options corresponding to the plurality of constraints are concurrently presented for display. In some embodiments, the method optionally includes obtaining, via a user-editable option, a modification to a constraint in the plurality of constraints which is then used to update the plurality of candidate calendar events. In some embodiments, the user-editable options are determined, at least in part, by user preferences. In some embodiments, the plurality of user-editable options further corresponds to a designation of one or more invitees to the scheduled calendar event.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a fraud detection system that stores fraud detection rules and merchant profiles. The fraud detection system allows a user to designate fraud detection rules as core fraud detection rules, and the fraud detection system can automatically populate new merchant profiles with the user's core fraud detection rules.

Abstract: The spend capacity of a consumer typically increases as the number of consumers in the household increases, since the consumer can draw on the spending power of other consumers in the household. The size of wallet of the household is thus a better indicator of the consumer's spend capacity than an individual size of wallet. All consumers in a given household can be aggregated based on, for example, their address of record. Duplicate tradelines within each household are removed from consideration in a size of wallet estimate. A spend capacity is then estimated for each tradeline using calculations derived from a consumer behavior model. The spend capacities for all tradelines in the household are combined to determine a household size of wallet. Each consumer in the household is then tagged with the household size of wallet, rather than their individual size of wallet.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for processing a workload among a plurality of computing resources that optimizes the processing price per workload. The method includes breaking the workload into two or more tasks each having a size optimized based on (i) a price history of one or more of the plurality of computing resources and (ii) a predicted duration to complete processing of each of the respective tasks; and sending one of the two or more tasks to a computing resources for which the size of the tasks is optimized.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for providing a record of an interactive conference, such as a video conference. The systems, methods, and computer program products determine that an operative connection has been established between a user device of a user and a system associated with a representative of a financial institution, such that the user and the representative are conducting a conference; identify a document referenced during the conference; capture at least a portion of the conference in a record; associate the document with the record; and store the record. Customers of financial institutions desire to have records of their interactions with representatives of the financial institution and the embodiments of this invention assist the customer in maintaining and organizing those records.

The method comprises receiving a proximity distance; identifying a location of a mobile device of a financial professional (FP); identifying a location of a first client of the FP within the proximity distance from the location of the mobile device; downloading, by the mobile device and in response to identifying the first client, a first financial data item corresponding to the first client; and displaying, to the FP by the mobile device, the first financial data item.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for managing reportings of item listings for items that are available through an electronic commerce system. A reporting for the item listing is obtained from a merchant, and evaluations of the reporting are obtained from other merchants. A net evaluation of the reporting is generated, and it is determined whether to initiate a correction event based at least in part on the net evaluation of the reporting.

Abstract: A method and a system for identifying candidate conference rooms based on attendee locations identifies conference rooms in accordance with proximity between the one or more conference rooms and the respective attendee locations. The method includes receiving a conference room scheduling request for a respective meeting. The request can include additional constraints such as requesting a recurring meeting over a period of time. The respective locations of the attendees for the respective meeting are identified, and then one or more conference rooms are identified in accordance with proximity between the one or more conference rooms and the respective attendee locations. Information concerning a respective conference room of the one or more identified conference rooms is then transmitted.

Abstract: A method for ranking merchants that includes receiving in a cardless payment system a current location of a mobile device of a customer; receiving data identifying a plurality of merchants based on proximity to the current location, each merchant having an account with the cardless payment system; ranking the plurality of merchants based on at least one or more indicators, the one or more indicators including purchase data or a dwell time; sending the ranking of the plurality of merchants to the mobile device.

Abstract: A method and a system are described for providing operational business service verification in a telecommunication network. The method comprises the steps of: (i) receiving information which relates to transactions from a plurality of information sources, wherein the transactions are associated with one or more pre-defined applications; (ii) based upon the information received, determining whether that at least one pre-defined transaction criterion has been met; and (iii) if the at least one pre-defined transaction criterion has been met, providing verification of the legitimacy of the respective transaction that relate to that pre-defined application.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for determining incentives based on consumer history. When, how, and to whom incentives are sent can be determined. For example, an incentive can be sent to a consumer to encourage a transaction at a time when the particular consumer is predisposed to initiate the transaction. Also, an incentive for a transaction can be sent to a consumer when that transaction has a high likelihood of leading to other transactions. An incentive can also be sent after a consumer initiates a transaction that is known to not have many subsequent transaction correlated to it.

Abstract: Systems and methods for just-in-time scheduling of conference rooms based on a plurality of conference room scheduling requests are provided. In some embodiments a plurality of conference room scheduling requests are obtained. A conference room scheduling request in the plurality of conference room scheduling requests includes at least one meeting constraint. The plurality of conference room scheduling requests is serviceable by a plurality of conference rooms. At least one conference room in the plurality of conference rooms is available for assignment. Prior to assigning the plurality of conference rooms in accordance with the plurality of conference scheduling requests, polling is conducted for a predefined trigger event corresponding to the at least one meeting constraint. In response to detecting the predefined trigger event, the plurality of conference rooms is assigned in accordance with the plurality of conference scheduling requests.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for allowing financial transactions to be conducted using consumer devices. In some embodiments, the consumer device is a mobile communication device, such as a mobile phone. A payer initiates a transaction by sending a payment request message from a mobile phone which specifies the payee and amount to be paid. Payees are identified by unique aliases, which are maintained in a database. The aliases, in turn, are comprised of multiple parts. Each part of the alias may identify a relevant aspect of the transaction. For example, one part of the alias may identify the payee and another part of the alias may identify the financial institution of the account of the payee. Methods for assembling the enrollment and alias database are included.

Abstract: A method and system applies a rating adjustment to ratings by avatars in a virtual universe. The rating adjustment offsets mutual rating collusion between avatars. The ratings may be adjusted based on a weighted value of indicia of association, and may also be adjusted based on rating frequencies between the same avatars. In a rating system having a fee structure, the ratings may be adjusted by scaling the rating/fee payoff to favor higher fees. Where indicia of association are weighted, the weightings are mapped to discrete levels of association between avatars, from no association to close association, with greater reduction of ratings for closer association.

Abstract: A system for validating hours of operation may include one or more computing devices and a memory. The one or more computing devices may receive hours of operation of a business for a day of a week and receive data items that are associated with a time of the day of the week, wherein the data items are also associated with the business being open or closed at the associated time of the day of the week. The one or more computing devices may determine, based at least in part on the data items, a likelihood that the hours of operation of the business for the day of the week are inaccurate. The one or more computing devices may provide to an electronic device associated with the business an indication that the hours of operation for the day of the week are likely inaccurate when the likelihood satisfies a threshold.

Abstract: Methods and systems provide customized electronic cards, such as customized vCards. Each vCard can be customized, such as with respect to a particular recipient. Thus, desired specific information can be provided to the recipient and not provided to anyone else who receives a vCard from a user. In this manner, a unique communication between the user and the recipient can be defined. Different vCards, each containing some common information and some unique information, can be communicated to different recipients.
