  • Patent number: 4679597
Abstract: A liquid pulsation dampening device comprises a sound transmitting tube structure, including a helical fin that causes incoming pulsations within a liquid to first traverse a spiral path. Vibrations and pulsations transmitted through the liquid are transferred to the tube and are effectively cancelled during their subsequent reverse axial movement through the tube interior. The housing includes a port leading between the housing and tube. One end wall includes a port leading to the tube interior. Passages are provided at the opposite end of the device for free-flow of liquid between the space separating the housing and tube and the tube interior.

  • Patent number: 4671329
Abstract: A wine distribution method from winery to retail customer in which the wine is completely enclosed or sealed throughout until it is finally dispensed into a glass or carafe for customers in a restaurant or lounge or other retail establishment. The wine originates in a winery where it is stored in closed containers until it has been properly aged. It is then pumped through a sealed conduit from the winery vats into the closed tank of a tanker truck for shipment to a wholesale distributor. In accordance with this invention the wholesale distributor pumps the wine from the tank of the tanker truck through lines which are closed to air into large holding tanks which are also closed to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4667694
Abstract: A safety valve for compressed liquid gas fuel tanks that has no man-movable parts and is completely automatic during the filling procedure. A movable piston within the valve body is responsive to pressure developing within an expansion chamber. The expansion chamber is connected to a 20% valve associated with the fuel tank and when liquid gas is detected the liquid expands and cools causing a thermal operated valve to transfer. Transferring of the thermal valve closes a port and prevents venting of the expansion chamber. Pressure building up in the expansion chamber causes the piston to automatically move, thereby shutting off the flow of fuel from the supply to the fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 4667710
Abstract: A liquid pouring device comprises a conduit, a screwed cap, a partition plate, a tension spring, a valve collar and a funnel. The partition plate inserted in the conduit divides the conduit into one long channel and one short channel for the liquid and air to flow. The screwed cap with a gasket is fixed to the top end of the conduit for screwing on the container from which the liquid is to be poured. The stopper is fixed to the lower end of the partition plate and the valve collar is slidably fitted over the small part of the conduit. The tension spring is fitted over the conduit between the valve collar and the flange of the conduit. The funnel is connected with the valve collar. Thus, the liquid can be poured from the liquid container into an empty container smoothly and safely.

  • Patent number: 4667701
Abstract: In a nozzle dam assembly wherein a flange ring is affixed around a circular nozzle opening in a chamber wall, a support frame spans and is in non-threaded connection with the ring by releasable pins which carry under tension any load on the frame directed axially out of the nozzle into the chamber, and a circular dam with a sealing diaphragm disposed over it is attachable to the frame with its rim within the nozzle so that inflatable peripheral sealing means on the diaphragm effect the desired seal of the nozzle independent of the aforementioned axial load.

  • Patent number: 4664159
Abstract: A can filling device for minimizing damage to cans during filling by providing full can pockets on a filler wheel having upper and lower arm portions which maintain the constant vertical orientation of the can during the filling process. A locator brush is disposed to induce an inward radial force relative to the rotating filler wheel to maintain the can within the can pocket. Additionally, a hold down guide assembly displaces the cans in a downward position on the rotating filler wheel to prevent damage by the spindle mechanism. Sufficient tangential clearance is provided by the star wheel pockets to prevent damage due to play between the rotating filler wheel and the star wheel. Close tolerances are provided in the radial direction to ensure full transfer of the can from the star wheel pocket to the filler wheel pocket.
