  • Patent number: 11254298
Abstract: A system and method for compensation of turbo lag in hybrid vehicles is disclosed. The system identifies a zero boost power limit of the engine and a torque curve power limit. A turbocharger dynamic model is then developed based on measurements of the input engine power and the output max available engine power. The model is used to determine an overall propulsion power limit based on the combination of the engine and motor in operation. A power request by the driver may then be limited to the overall propulsion power limit to compensate for the effect of the turbocharger when propelling the vehicle using both the engine and motor and better simulate the engine-only response.

  • Patent number: 11198448
Abstract: A passenger support system includes a speaker, cameras, a vibrator, a seat switch, and a control device. The control device issues destination approach information by the speaker before the vehicle arrives at the destination based on results from comparing the current location information of the vehicle with the destination information of passenger. After issuing the destination approach information, the control device identifies the seat position based on the images captured by the cameras and performs awakening action by the vibrator at the seat corresponding to the specified seat position. • Patent number: 11198440
Abstract: A control system and method for controlling a multiple gear ratio automatic transmission in a powertrain for an automatic transmission having pressure activated fiction torque elements to effect gear ratio upshifts. The friction torque elements are synchronously engaged and released during a torque phase of an upshift event as torque from a torque source is increased while allowing the off-going friction elements to slip, followed by an inertia phase during which torque from a torque source is modulated. A perceptible transmission output torque reduction during an upshift is avoided. Measured torque values are used during a torque phase of the upshift to correct an estimated oncoming friction element target torque so that transient torque disturbances at an oncoming clutch are avoided and torque transients at the output shaft are reduced.

  • Patent number: 11186272
Abstract: A control method for an electronic limited slip differential of a vehicle includes: determining by a controller, whether the vehicle is in an understeer state or an oversteer state when the vehicle is turning; and performing driving force movement control by the controller. In particular, when the vehicle is in the understeer state and an actual driving force of an inner wheel of the vehicle is greater than an allowable driving force of inner wheel, the controller increases the control torque of the electronic limited slip differential and transfers the inner wheel driving force to the outer wheel of the vehicle.
