In one example, an apparatus includes a radio-frequency identification (RFID) transceiver, a digital-analog converter (DAC) coupled with the transceiver, a reconstruction filter coupled with the digital-analog converter, and hold logic associated with the reconstruction filter to enable the reconstruction filter to hold its output voltage.

Abstract: An exemplary method for a communication network according to the present invention includes detecting movement of a mobile station, and modifying a control for the communication network based on the detection of the movement. In an exemplary embodiment, a transmit power control may be increased or decreased based the movement of the mobile station which is detected. Further, the network may determine a base station among plurality of base stations which provides the best communication path, taking into account a movement state of the mobile station. Accordingly, a stable hand over process may be realized, providing favorable communication quality and minimizing the occurrence of disconnection of the mobile terminal from a base station.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a Bluetooth device and method for providing a service determined according to Bluetooth PIN. The Bluetooth device includes a storage unit, a reception unit, a control unit, a key generation unit and a transmission unit. The storage unit stores the types of services and security policies according to Bluetooth PIN. The reception unit receives a link key. The control unit searches for a Bluetooth PIN corresponding to the received link key. The key generation unit creates a security key in accordance with the search results and stored security policies. The transmission unit transmits data associated with a service using the created security key.
Abstract: Systems and methods that are adapted to avoid radio frequency interference, electromagnetic interference, and/or electromechanical interference originating from modules, peripherals and interconnects of an electronic device, such as a mobile terminal, that are generating unintentional radiation (e.g. memory cards, camera flashes, data buses etc.) and coupling to the radios of the same electronic device are disclosed. The systems may include a controller unit that schedules the operation of the components to avoid concurrent operation of radios and sensitive peripheral devices which may interfere with each other during concurrent operation.
Abstract: A closed-loop signalling method controls multiple transmit beams. The method also includes transmitting a plurality of beams from a first transceiver via a plurality of transmission channels to a second transceiver, evaluating, at the second transceiver, characteristics of the plurality of transmitted beams received at the second transceiver. The method also includes deriving, at the second transceiver, beamforming information for being fed back from the second transceiver to the first transceiver based on the evaluated characteristics. The beamforming information is usable for controlling, at the first transceiver, the transmitting of the plurality of beams. The method also includes selecting, at the second transceiver, at least one set of beamforming information for being fed back from the second transceiver via a feedback path to the first transceiver.

Abstract: A method is provided for reducing interferences in a wireless communication system. First, in one or more cells, a plurality of frequency-time frames are generated each having at least one predetermined frequency-time open window unused for desired wireless communications. The interference information is derived from the predetermined open windows of the frames. The interference for incoming signals is reduced by calculating beamforming weights using the observed interference information.
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for testing a radio device without radiation losses are provided. The arrangement comprises a waveguide closed at both its ends and comprising a holder arranged to hold the radio device at least partly inside the waveguide in such a manner that the radiating part of the radio device remaining outside the waveguide is entirely inside the holder. Abstract: A method for operating a power controller in a wireless communication device is provided that includes generating a power controller output signal using an open loop polar modulation scheme. The power controller output signal is operable to control the power delivered to a high-band power amplifier and a low-band power amplifier. A band state is determined for the wireless communication device. The power controller output signal is provided to the high-band power amplifier when the band state is a high-band state and to the low-band power amplifier when the band state is a low-band state.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are presented for enabling data connectivity when a handoff occurs between one communication network and another communication network, wherein the communication networks belong to different air interface standards. The mobile station triggers a Compression Control Protocol (CCP) request message to a tethered device if the mobile station determines that a new PDSN is not enabled to perform the CCP protocol. The tethered device then responds with a CCP request message with or without new negotiation parameters. The mobile station forwards the CCP request message to the new PDSN. Since the new PDSN is not enabled with CCP, the new PDSN responds with a CCP rejection message. The rejection message is passed from the mobile station back to the tethered device. The tethered device then sends uncompressed data packets to the PDSN.

Abstract: A method of printing content on a print medium using a mobile telecommunications device is disclosed. When the print medium is inserted into a media feed path of the mobile telecommunications device, a print media identifier read from the print medium using a sensor module of the mobile telecommunications device. The content is then printed on the print medium using a printer module of the mobile telecommunications device, and the content is also stored in a database using a server in communication with the mobile telecommunications device. This allows the content to be retrieved from the database using the print media identifier.
