Abstract: A system and method for the creation of household links (HHLs) associates each household with particular consumers associated with a consumer link (CL) and an address link (AL) in order to more accurately identify consumers who are part of the same household. The system and method utilizes a feedback loop system to maintain persistence of HHLs over time and more accurately resolve HHLs from information ingested from multiple files containing consumer information. Both point-in-time (PIT) and temporal data are used. Top-down and bottom-up clustering methods are applied to the data, and the best results are taken to generate the final association of HHLs with particular ALs and CLs. By more accurately identifying the households associated with particular consumer data, the invention significantly reduces the storage requirements and time required for processing very large consumer data sets, allowing, for example, processing of such data on standard desktop computers.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for facilitating access to recorded data. The system comprises an interface and a processing device. The interface is arranged to receive data and the processing device is arranged to separate the received data in data subsets, compress each data subset and assign an identifier to each compressed data subset, thereby creating data units each comprising a compressed data subset and an associated identifier, the processing device further being arranged to establish an index on the basis of the assigned identifiers.

Abstract: A technique for accessing replicas of file systems generates a snap (point-in-time version) of a replica on a destination site and provides access to the snap for reading and/or writing while replication operations on the replica between a source site and the destination site continue to be performed. As the snap is a separate object from the replica itself, users may access the snap without affecting the replica or disturbing ongoing replication activities. Users can also mount the snap to perform destination-driven backup operations, to test disaster recovery, and/or to perform other activities.
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards real time display of event records and extracted values based on at least one extraction rule, such as a regular expression. A user interface may be employed to enable a user to have an extraction rule automatically generate and/or to manually enter an extraction rule. The user may be enabled to manually edit a previously provided extraction rule, which may result in real time display of updated extracted values. The extraction rule may be utilized to extract values from each of a plurality of records, including event records of unstructured machine data. Statistics may be determined for each unique extracted value, and may be displayed to the user in real time. The user interface may also enable the user to select at least one unique extracted value to display those event records that include an extracted value that matches the selected value.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a social-networking system may access an enhanced search index of an online social network. The enhanced search index may include data from a social graph having a plurality of nodes and a plurality of edges connecting the nodes, where the nodes comprise a plurality of internal nodes corresponding to entities associated with the online social network, and a plurality of external nodes corresponding to objects associated with a third-party system. The social-networking system may then search the enhanced search index in response to a query received from a user to identify objects that substantially match the query. Each identified object may be scored by the social-networking system based at least in part on a connectivity of the corresponding external node to the one or more internal nodes. In response to the query, the social-networking system may send a search-results page referencing objects based on their scores.
Abstract: System, methods and articles of manufacture for replicating relational data on multiple nodes. An embodiment comprises receiving an update request message from a node, wherein the update request message comprises a node identification and an application identification, accessing an application schema based on the application identification, identifying a partition residing in the application schema based on the node identification, accessing a server schema, identifying a second partition residing in the server schema based on the application identification, determining at least one data change stored in the second partition that changes data associated with the first partition, retrieving at least one data change from the second partition, formatting data change in an update response message, and transmitting the update response message to the node.

Abstract: A method and system for improving access to search results are provided in the disclosure herein. Aspects of this disclosure minimize the delay in accessing network content by priming certain regularly viewed content (e.g., a web search home page or a search results page) in an invisible browser instance. As the user accesses the content prerendered in the invisible browser instance, a new instance of the prerendered content is created to facilitate future accesses to the network content (e.g., future search queries).
