Abstract: A wearable eyeglass holder that holds a temple of a folded pair of eyeglasses in a manner that resists the inadvertent unfolding of the held temple and the wearer's loss of the eyeglasses. The eyeglass holder has a connector that enables it to be attached, in a pendulous manner, to the wearer's neck, clothing, or other object. The eyeglass holder has an oblong body with a double convex shape and a longitudinal inner channel with two oblong openings on the same face of the body. A temple of a pair of eyeglasses, inserted through the upper opening, comes to rest upon a waist extending between the openings. The eyeglasses rest on the waist and a foot of the body provides a second contact point with the temple that maintains it in a closed position.

Abstract: An insert for a watch that enables the wrist watch to be positioned on the forearm of a person such that the main body and face of the wrist watch is disposed adjacent an inner side or edge of the forearm in a convenient line of sight for the person wearing the wrist watch. The insert includes a web and a pair of flanges extending from the web. The insert is designed to be attached to the watch such that the web and flanges form an interface between the wrist watch and a person's forearm for securely stationing the main body and face of the watch on the inner side or edge of the forearm.

Abstract: One embodiment relates to a hold open mechanism including first and second flat, strip-like members. Each of the first and second flat, strip-like members are comprised of a flexible material and have two opposing ends and an edge including two wide sections, one of each of which is located at the opposing ends of the members; a narrow section having a width less than the two wide sections and extending between and coupling the two wide sections; at least one mounting tab extending along at least a portion of the edge and connected thereto via a first pivot member having an orientation parallel with the length of the members. The first and second flat, strip-like members act as a flip tab providing a surface area for a user to access and manipulate between an upwards and downwards configuration relative to the orientation of the mechanism.

Abstract: Various systems and methods are provided for increasing situational awareness of an operator carrying, integrating, and using a combination of equipment items in a variety of operating environments in a compact configuration enabling rapid viewing and access or stowage with minimized eye and hand movement. In particular, embodiments include apparatuses and methods associated with a ruggedized hands-free body mounted portable display device holder. In particular, various embodiments are provided which enable an operator to use a combination equipment together in a body mounted system which increase situational awareness and ability to operate using a variety of body mounted equipment as well as carried equipment that reduce mass or streamline the operator's equipment loadout that is carried on their body e.g., body armor with equipment mounting loops or sewn strips.

Abstract: A wearable battery storage apparatus and a system including the same are described herein. The wearable battery storage apparatus includes a battery storage component and a band coupled to the battery storage component. The battery storage component includes a storage portion defining a chamber, and a lid coupled to the storage portion. The storage portion includes an insert retained in the chamber, the insert defining a plurality of slots therein, each of the plurality of slots sized to receive and retain a battery therein. The lid is configured to selectively transition the battery storage component between an open configuration and a closed configuration.

Abstract: An equipment mounting device and an installation arrangement for mounting an equipment to two fittings. The mounting device comprises a longitudinal carrier configured to be coupled to the equipment, and sized to span a space between the two fittings. A first coupling is disposed at a first end of the longitudinal carrier. The first coupling is configured to be coupled with a first of the two fittings and, when coupled with the first fitting, to prevent movement of the carrier in a first direction different from a direction along a longitudinal axis of the longitudinal carrier. A second coupling is configured to detachably couple with a second of the two fittings by receiving a part of the second fitting and, when coupled with the second fitting, to prevent movement of the carrier at least in the first direction and the direction of the longitudinal axis of the carrier.

Abstract: Representative implementations of devices and techniques provide a ankle holster assembly to mount and to support an implement (such as a handgun, for example) or an implement holster (such as a handgun holster, for example), or the like, in a variety of configurations. The ankle holster assembly includes a base having a receiver and a post having a shaft, the shaft arranged to be inserted into the receiver to removably couple the post to the base.

Abstract: A pack system adapted for carrying hand tools includes a tool-carrying container constructed to be worn on a user's person and having a container base portion, a first shell portion, a second shell portion, and a releasable closure with a first closure part connected to the first shell portion and a second closure part connected the second shell portion. The tool-carrying container is operable between an open-container position and a closed-container position in which it defines and encloses a main storage compartment. At least one tool panel is removably disposed within the main storage compartment and has one or more tool receivers each constructed to retain a hand tool. A panel-retaining structure has a first retaining portion secured to the tool panel(s) and a second retaining portion secured inside of the tool-carrying container. The panel-retaining structure releasably retains the tool panel(s) in the main storage compartment.

Abstract: The present invention relates to various cell phone cases that are designed to include one or more interchangeable bracelet elements. In one embodiment, the cell phone case of the present invention is comprised of a phone case element designed to hold a cell phone and/or provide protection to a cell phone and a coupling portion that is operatively located on the backside of the phone case element, where the coupling portion of the present invention is designed to engage at least one or more interchangeable bracelet elements (the bracelet elements being designed to be worn around a user's wrist and/or forearm).

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide container mounts for mounting water bottles, bento boxes, tool holders or other containers in an aerodynamic position. According to one embodiment, the container mount can include an attachment member to attach to the bicycle frame or aerobars. One or more container support members are coupled to the attachment member in a fixed orientation or in a manner that allows the position of the support member to be adjusted. The container mounts can be configured so that the container is positioned within the aerodynamic profile of the rider's torso between the rider's arms (when viewed from the front) and is accessible by the rider while the rider maintains aerodynamic form.

Abstract: An infant thermoregulation and monitoring support device is configured for thermoregulation support of infants, particularly premature and/or low birthweight infants. The device includes an enfolding mechanism, a carrying mechanism and a temperature stabilizing device. The carrying mechanism and the temperature stabilizing device are coupled to the enfolding mechanism. The temperature stabilizing device is configured to detect and/or modify the temperature of the enfolding mechanism.

Abstract: A carrier system for use with a body armor garment that distributes the shoulder loads produced by equipment carried or worn by military or law enforcement personnel, away from the user's shoulders and comfortably to the hips. Heavy shoulder loads, which typically cause chronic back pain and can lead to compression of the spine, are significantly mitigated. The carrier system has a vertical back support and a belt for securing the device around the waist of the user. In addition to alleviating shoulder fatigue and spine compression, the device is light, comfortable, durable, adjustable and easy to maintain.

Abstract: A bicycle carrier convertible between a first configuration in which one or more bicycles are accommodated and a second extended configuration in which one or more additional bicycles are accommodated for transport on a carrying vehicle. The bicycle carrier can include a vehicle engaging frame configured to be mounted on a carrying vehicle. An elongate rearward extending support member can be coupled to the frame at a proximate end of the support member by a variably configurable hub configured to set the support member in a plurality of orientations relative to the frame. A manual actuator can be operably coupled to the variably configurable hub by a linkage. A distal end of the support member can be positioned away from the frame and configured to be alternately coupled to the actuator, or an add-on support member that accommodates one or more additional bicycles coupled to the bicycle carrier.

Abstract: A beverage container holder that includes a first member including a floor, sidewall, and first opening, the floor connected and spaced apart from the first opening by the first member sidewall to define a receptacle to receive the beverage container therein; a second member, where a portion of the second member is inserted into the first opening of the first member to permit rotation of the second member about a center axis; a plurality of elastic bands, each elastic band of the plurality of elastic bands being connected to the first member at one end and the second member at the opposite end such that tension is established within each elastic band of the plurality of elastic bands; and the plurality of nylon bands collaborate to operatively form into a configuration which constricts an area centrally located in the receptacle of the first member.

Abstract: A back carrier has a back plate and a shoulder strap. The back plate has a longitudinal extent and, in the direction of its longitudinal extent, has an upper and a lower end section. The upper end section reaches as far as the upper end of the back plate. The strap extends on the back side of the back plate, which faces toward the back of a user. The strap is fastened with a first strap section in the area of the upper end section to an upper fastening location and is fastened with a second strap section in the area of the lower end section to a lower fastening location. In the area of the upper end section, the back plate has a recess for receiving an extension plate. In the direction of the longitudinal extent, the recess is open toward the upper end of the back plate.

Abstract: A strap for a bag provides and includes a main body having a first end attached to a first attachment location of the bag and a second end attached to a second attachment location of the bag. The strap also includes a tension element that extends between the first end and the second end. The tension element is movable between a tightened state and a relaxed state. The tension element also applies a force on the first end and the second end in the tightened state to change the relative position of the first end and the second end.

Abstract: A carry container is interchangeable between a closed position and an open position, wherein the container converts into a protective mat, such as a placemat, and becomes a barrier against germs. In one embodiment, the carry container includes an outer shell including a bottom panel and four side panels extending from the bottom panel and being configured to releasably attach to each of the two neighboring side panels using a fastener to form a container for carrying one or more items, such as food items. An inner lining formed by a generally square sheet is attached to an inner facing side of the outer shell and defines the protective mat when the outer shell is in an open position and flat on a surface. The container can be easily converted between the closed position (lunch box) and fully open position (protective mat). A larger version for the container is also described with a portion of the inner liner folded in the closed position.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a transformable multifunction backpack, including a main backpack body, retractable rods, and detachable rods. The retractable rod has a fixed portion and a handle portion; the fixed portion is stored within the main backpack body, and the handle portion can extend out of the fixed portion telescopically. The retractable rod and the detachable rod are attached together with a lockable means, such as a lockable pin, for quick release and adjustment. The backpack also includes a rolling base board which can be placed under the backpack body, or been used as a skateboard. The retractable rod can also be used as a cane. The main backpack body also has a child strap for carrying a small child. The backpack main body is comprised of several different fabric pieces, connected together with a connecting means, such as zippers or buttons.

Abstract: A rack for supporting an article on a rear hatch of a vehicle includes a bracket mounted to an inner panel of the rear hatch. The rack also includes a hinge having a fixed portion mounted to the bracket and a pivotable portion. A support bar is connected to the pivotable portion and includes an article-receiving member. The support bar is pivotable via the hinge between a stowed position in which the support bar is nested with the rear hatch and a carrying position in which the support bar extends outwardly from the rear hatch allowing an article to be disposed on the article-receiving member.

Abstract: A storage unit intended for mounting on the rear of a golf cart type vehicle is designed to protrude from the rear of the golf cart to provide more storage space. The storage unit is further designed to be removable, and may be subdivided with movable partitions. Several features are described for its attachment onto the rear of the golf cart in different ways, including specific types of attachments and frameworks for use with and without rear shelf wells on the golf cart. These are designed for greater security in holding the storage unit onto the golf cart, and include adjustable or removable bottom protrusions for use with a rear shelf well, or the attachment frame system without a rear shelf well. In addition, a system is described to allow the storage unit to be folded, such that it can be more compactly folded and shipped, stored or transported.
