  • Patent number: 11783933
Abstract: An identifier is provided to a medical device such as a syringe to uniquely identify the medical device. For a syringe, the unique identifier may be in the form of a bar code printed onto the thumb press, stem, or both at the plunger of the syringe. The bar code may be a 2-dimensional bar code or a 1-dimensional bar code. Alternatively, an RFID tag may be attached to the plunger, for example fitted to or embedded into the thumb press. The unique identifier provides, at minimum, the manufacturing data unique to the syringe so that the history of the syringe may be readily traced and associated with the medical records of the patient the syringe is used for.

  • Patent number: 11782972
Abstract: To easily determine whether an information code has been replaced, an information processing device obtains, based on original information obtained by photographing an optically readable information code and decoding the same, first class information indicating a class into which an object visually represented by first visual information which should be displayed together with an information code is classified. The information processing device obtains second class information indicating a class into which an object visually represented by second visual information photographed together with the information code because of display together with the information code is classified. The information processing device compares the first class information with the second class information. The information processing device controls, based on a result of the comparison, execution of predetermined processing using the original information.

  • Patent number: 11762238
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a printed circuit, a backlight unit, and a display device. The printed circuit on which a light source is mounted can be easily manufactured in a single form, by depositing and arranging a wiring layer on a substrate and mounting the light source on the wiring layer. Further, the printed circuit is arranged so that the wiring layer includes a plurality of bonding metal layers and a plurality of wiring metal layers, and a part of the bonding metal layer positioned between the plurality of wiring metal layers and disposed in an area overlapping a pad portion of the light source is removed. Therefore, even though the main metal layer of the wiring layer is removed during reworking, it is possible to provide the printed circuit capable of electrically connecting to the light source by the sub-metal layer of the wiring layer.

  • Patent number: 11749071
Abstract: Scanner/scale configuration is performed without scanning a series of programming barcodes and performed when a terminal is in a transaction processing mode of operation. A single code scanned into the scanner, initiates a configuration tool on the terminal and causes a graphical user interface (GUI) window to be rendered on a display of the terminal on top of any transaction windows rendered on the display. The GUI window permits user-defined configuration of the scanner/scale. In an embodiment, the configuration tool also provides a clone code that represents a source scanner/scale's configuration settings, when the clone code is scanned into a target scanner, the source scanner/scale's configuration settings are cloned on the target scanner/scale.

  • Patent number: 11714979
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to data readers including an improved imaging system that optimizes active and passive autofocus techniques for improving data reading functions. In an example, the data reader initially uses active autofocus techniques to focus a lens system based on a measurement reading by a rangefinder and acquire an image of an item in the field-of-view of the data reader. The data reader includes a decoding engine operable to decode an optical code of the item using the acquired image. If the decoding engine is unable to decode the optical code using the active autofocus technique, the data reader alternates to a passive autofocus technique to alter the focus settings of the lens system and reattempt the decoding process.
