  • Patent number: 11637988
Abstract: Embodiments include a computer program product for using a biosensor worn by a user to trigger an event and activate a camera worn by the user to begin streaming and/or recording video data. The biosensor trigger also initiates a real time multimedia collaboration session with the user wearing the biosensor and one or more designated parties. Through an interoperability gateway device, a voice communications device of the user is bridged with voice communications devices of the designated parties, and the video data is electronically transmitted to the designated parties. Thus, the designated parties may have real time voice communications among each other and with the user, and the designated parties may also view the video data in real time. Embodiments also determine when an event has ended and deactivates the camera worn by the user.

  • Patent number: 11637877
Abstract: A videoconferencing system receives audio and/or video signals (“AV”), information, and control signals from meeting participants. The videoconferencing system processes and routes the received AV and information, based on the received control signals, to provide AV and information to meeting participants. The videoconferencing system enables participants to to know details about breakout room (e.g., what breakout rooms are available, how many people are attending each breakout room, who is attending each breakout room, the topics of the breakout rooms), hear audio, see video, and receive information corresponding breakout rooms that they have not joined, join a breakout room, leave a breakout room, create breakout rooms, invite other participants to join a breakout room, and make a breakout room private.

Abstract: One or more sensors are configured to contextualize a series of user generated movements to control one or more electronic devices. For example, a set of earphones comprises one or more sensors for sensing a location of the earphones. The one or more sensors enable earphones such as a pair of bluetooth or earphones wirelessly coupled to a bluetooth enabled electronic device, the capability to understand the configuration of use of the earphones. Based on a location and use or non-use of the earphones, one or more contextual responses is able to be applied for a given action. In addition, a garment comprises one or more sensors for sensing a motion of a user as the garment is being used. The one or more sensors allow the user to control one or more electronic devices through a series of user generated movements.

  • Patent number: 11632404
Abstract: A method for data stream prioritization by a session controller is described. Usage data associated with a video communication session is received for one or more client devices of the video communication session. The usage data is based on content within data streams of the video communication session. A first client device of the one or more client devices is identified as having a higher priority level during the video communication session based on the usage data. Instructions are sent to the first client device during the video communication session causing the first client device to improve a quality of a first data stream generated by the first client device for the video communication session.

  • Patent number: 11611600
Abstract: Techniques of streaming data processing for hybrid online meetings are disclosed herein. In one example, a method includes receiving, at the remote server, a video stream captured by a camera in the conference room. The video stream captures images of multiple local participants of an online meeting. The method also includes determining identities of the captured images of the multiple local participants in the received video stream using meeting information of the online meeting and generating a set of individual video streams each corresponding to one of the multiple local participants. The set of individual video streams can then be transmitted to the second computing device corresponding to a remote participant of the online meeting as if the multiple local participants are virtually joining the online meeting.

  • Patent number: 11604623
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method mitigates loss of communication between participants in a communication session when a local participant attempts to speak without manually unmuting the electronic device. The electronic device includes an image capturing device, a user interface device having a microphone, and a controller. The controller is communicatively coupled to the image capturing device and to the user interface device. The controller monitors, during the communication session with a second electronic device, an image stream received from the image capturing device for movements by the local participant in the communication session. The controller autonomously generates a prompt to unmute the microphone in response to determining that the microphone is muted while identifying at least one of a speaking movement of a mouth of the local participant to speak or a gesture by the local participant that correlates with the participant wanting to speak.

  • Patent number: 11606508
Abstract: Techniques for generating enhanced representations based on sensor data are described and are implementable in a video conference setting. Generally, the described implementations enable an enhanced representation of a focal individual, for instance a speaker, to be generated based on sensor data, for instance audio and visual sensor data. The audio data can identify an individual as the speaker or determine a general location of a source of audio. Visual sensors can detect gestures of individuals located in the general location of the source of audio to identify gestures which indicate that one or more individuals are speaking or are about to speak.
