Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network identifies a node in the network that is not synchronized to a network time synchronization mechanism. The device determines a scheduled reception time for a particular deterministic traffic flow at which the device is to receive the traffic flow from the node. The device sends, prior to the scheduled reception time, a request to the node for the particular deterministic traffic flow. The request identifies the particular deterministic traffic flow and causes the node to send the traffic flow to the device. The device receives the particular deterministic traffic flow from the node at the scheduled reception time.

Abstract: Modification of electronic messages is provided. A content of an electronic message having one or more recipients is analyzed. One or more suggested modifications to the content of the electronic message are provided, based, at least in part, on the content of the electronic message and on at least one of: recipient profile data of the one or more recipients and group data of the one or more recipients. The content of the electronic message is modified based, at least in part, on a selected suggested modification of the one or more suggested modifications in response to receiving an interaction of a user, wherein the interaction identifies the selected suggested modification.

Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and data storage computing device that obtains data to be stored in a buffer in a buffer cache, determines a priority of the buffer based on the data, identifies one of a set of global recycle queues based on the priority, and inserts the buffer and metadata into the global recycle queue. When the global recycle queue is determined to be a lowest priority global recycle queue and the buffer is determined to be a least recently used buffer, the buffer is removed from the global recycle queue and inserted into a per-thread recycle queue. When the buffer is least recently used in the per-thread recycle queue, the buffer is removed from the per-thread recycle queue and placed in a free pool. With this technology, buffer cache can be more efficiently managed, particularly with respect to aging and scavenging operations, among other advantages.

Abstract: A method for managing and configuring field devices of an automation system has a configuration tool designed to physically detect a field device in the automation system, to logically integrate said device in the automation system and to configure it in the automation system, wherein for this purpose the configuration tool draws on a predefined first information package that is specific to the field device and describes at least some of the functions and data of the field device. To simplify communication between the configuration tool and the field devices, FDI-based data packages may be formed from the predefined field device-specific information package and transmitted by one or more FDT-based communications components may be exchanged between the configuration tool and the field device.

Abstract: In a digital resource duplication method, the cloud server executes: a receiving step, for receiving a duplication request for a digital resource submitted by a resource requester, the duplication request comprising the identification information of the resource requester, the unique resource copy identifier, and the unique terminal identifier; a determination step, for determining, on the basis of the identification information, whether the resource requester is allowed to duplicate via the terminal a copy of the digital resource corresponding to the unique resource copy identifier; a transmitting step, for transmitting the copy to the terminal after embedding the unique terminal identifier and the identification information in the copy, when a determination result of the determination step is positive.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system for real-time communication signaling in a telecommunication network. The system adapts complex signaling on the server-side into simple operations towards the Web. In an embodiment the system includes a server-side web signaling engine and a client-side communication controller. The client-side communication controller provides native operating system application programming interfaces (API) and JavaScript APIs to encapsulate the signaling layer. The web signaling engine includes a controller which terminates HTTP communications with the client-side, parses, and normalizes the HTTP communications into an internal protocol suitable for communication with telecommunications network systems. The gateway system thereby provides a dedicated signaling channel for applications on the client to interact with telecommunications network services.

The portable terminal device acquires setting address information included in the fixed data, and by specifying a read address on the basis of the setting address information and issuing a read request with respect to a variable data storage unit, the portable terminal causes the electric appliance to transmit the object data as read data, acquires the object data from the transmitted read data, and transmits the object data to a server.

A dynamic white space database unit stores and dynamically updates a dynamic white space database of frequency resources that are assigned for broadcasting broadcast content but can locally not be used for broadcasting. One or more white space devices can access the frequency resources included in the dynamic white space database. A spectrum server dynamically manages the frequency resources included in the dynamic white space database for access by the one or more white space devices.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide for Web site reachability management in content browsing. A method of the invention includes monitoring different requests for different resources at respectively different resource location addresses initiating from different content browsers of different end users. Different responses to ones of the different requests that include an error code indicating an inability to provide a requested one of the different resources are detected and ones of the resource location addresses associated with corresponding ones of the different responses that include the error code are stored in a list. Finally, the each of resource location addresses are polled to determine whether or not a corresponding one of the resources is able to be retrieved. In response to determining that a resource of a resource location address in the list has become retrievable, the address is removed from the list and an associated end user notified.

The cloud computing system can include a plurality of compute resources and a plurality of memory resources. A portion of the plurality of memory resources can include virtual machine monitor instructions. The virtual machine monitor instructions can be executed by a first portion of the plurality of compute resources to perform operations. In particular, the virtual machine monitor instructions can be executed by the first portion of the plurality of compute resources to instantiate a virtual network function to be executed by a second portion of the plurality of compute resources. The virtual network function can include at least a portion of a decomposition of a physical network function that supports at least a portion of a telecommunications service.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for resolving Internet of Things heterogeneous identifiers. The method provides a special description mechanism for a resolution protocol for an Internet of Things heterogeneous identifiers, which not only forms a heterogeneous identification coding rule corresponding to the heterogeneous identifier, but also accordingly forms a corresponding heterogeneous identification resolution protocol rule, and conducts registration binding on the above-mentioned rules and the corresponding Internet of Things heterogeneous identifier. By resolving and querying standard identification code corresponding to the Internet of Things heterogeneous identification, the disclosed method can obtain the bound heterogeneous identification coding rule and heterogeneous identification resolution protocol rule.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for versioned read-only snapshots of shared state for distributed applications are disclosed. A distributed system includes a state manager implementing programmatic interfaces defining caching operations. In response to a cache setup request from a process of a distributed client application, the state manager designates elements of a registry as a cache data set, and provides the client process a reference to an asynchronously updated cache object. The state manager initiates a sequence of asynchronous update notifications to the cache object, wherein each notification includes (a) updated contents of an element of the cache data set, and (b) a cache version identifier based at least in part on a registry logical timestamp value indicative of a time at which the element was updated.
