  • Patent number: 11147131
Abstract: A LED bulb contains a dimming circuit, powered and controlled by an ON-OFF light switch. The quickly done, OFF-ON is converted to a DC binary signal for the Microcontroller Embedded Firmware. Then the Bulb is put into Dimming Mode and the Microcontroller Firmware outputs a continuously pulsed signal, to the LED current control IC to set the current. This is duplicated in the Warm White LEDs to vary their brightness. The percentage ON time of the pulse gives the percentage brightness of the LEDs. A variety of dimming and brightening cycles are displayed using Microcontroller Firmware. Then turning OFF the switch will lock in the dim point. It is saved in non-volatile Microcontroller Embedded EEPROM. When OFF then wait more than 2.0 seconds and turn ON and the Bulb and it is in Normal Mode and displays the last saved dim point and operates as a regular LED Bulb.

  • Patent number: 11119448
Abstract: An electronic visible light sensor is employed to detect the presence or lack of sunlight. The simple, digital light/dark data from the sensor is fed to electronic circuits which control security and other devices dependent upon day and night status. These circuits are directed and controlled in turn by associated electronic circuits that gather data which measures the length of the solar night, that is, between dusk and dawn, and by deduction, the length of the day. Given that these time periods vary daily and in a regular fashion, the result will necessarily differ by a few minutes each and every day during the 365 day solar year. The resulting day/night time data is used to estimate, with say, a four to ten minute accuracy, taken against the Universal Coordinated Time System, to establish start/stop times, durations and cycles of security and other devices dependent upon the presence or lack of sunlight relative to UCT designated within the universally accepted twenty-four day.

  • Patent number: 11101744
Abstract: The capacitive engine is an asymmetrical capacitor which produces a net non-zero electrostatic force when a voltage difference is applied between the two conductor-semiconductor contacts of an incompletely spherical extrinsic semiconductor shell. At least one Schottky barrier is made from one of the conductor-semiconductor contacts at either of the extrinsic semiconductor's inner or outer radius and is always in reverse bias. Since the Schottky barrier is always in reverse bias, the reverse biased Schottky barrier becomes an electronic capacitor mimicking the shape of the incompletely spherical shell of the extrinsic semiconductor. A net non-zero electrostatic force is thereby produced because the inner and outer radial surface areas of the electronic capacitor have a non-zero difference and this difference is multiplied by the relative electrical permittivity of the incompletely spherical extrinsic semiconductor shell when calculating the net electrostatic force of the capacitive engine.

  • Patent number: 11081285
Abstract: This invention provides electrically conductive electret, electret-based direct-current power source and structural electret, with applications including the self-sensing of damage, stress and strain (including structural self-sensing) and electric powering (including structural self-powering). The electret is an electrically conductive material comprising mobile charge carriers (electrons, holes or ions), which exhibit a gradient in the carrier concertation along a line connecting the positive charge center and negative charge center in the electret. The carriers create an electric dipole. The material is electrically continuous along this line, which is along the path of least electrical resistance. The material exhibits microstructure comprising microscopic features that are positioned along said line and that interact with said carriers, with the interaction enhancing said dipole. The materials are preferably metals, carbons and their composites.

  • Patent number: 11078869
Abstract: The inventor claims a heat engine that follows a modification of the Stirling thermodynamic heat engine cycle; the monatomic working fluid is a saturated gas at the beginning of the isothermal compression stage, and ends up a mixed-phase fluid at the end of the compression. A proximate piston compresses and expands surrounding ideal gas helium, to function as a regeneration mechanism of this Stirling cycle and minimize the temperature difference during heat transfer. This cycle takes advantage of the temperature-dependent attractive intermolecular forces of the working fluid to assist in compressing the working fluid partially into a liquid, reducing the input compression work and increasing the overall heat engine efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11052249
Abstract: Neuromuscular stimulation is widely used for rehabilitation and movement assist devices, due to its safety, efficacy, and ease of operation. For repeatable and accurate muscular contractions, a voltage controlled current sources (VCCS) with high compliance is required. Conventional VCCS design requires high-voltage rated operational amplifiers, which are expensive and consume large power. Moreover, conventional stimulators are not viable for simultaneous stimulation of muscle synergies, as they require multiple VCCS operating at the same time. This invention presents a neuromuscular stimulator with a multistage driver circuit wherein, a VCCS connected to an output driving stage comprising of folded-cascode transistor buffers and a bidirectional current mirror circuit. The multistage driver circuit uses inexpensive low-voltage rated operational amplifiers that consume 95% less power.
