  • Patent number: 8769855
Abstract: The present folding stock adapter can be used with many types of military-type assault rifles that typically comprise a receiver extension, buffer and action spring. The present folding stock adapter can be used to add a folding capability to a standard stock allowing it to fold against a rifle's receiver when the weapon is not in use, thus reducing the overall length of the weapon. This reduction in length can facilitate its maneuverability, storage and transport in cramped quarters. The present device can also allow for the quick unfolding of the stock in order to allow the weapon to function and be fired normally.

  • Patent number: 8763531
Abstract: A pyrotechnic electrical generator including an initiator charge mechanism, one or more field poles and an armature that creates a magnetic field, and a coil that produces an electric current is disclosed herein. The armature is positioned within a bore extending through the one or more field poles, and the initiator charge mechanism is positioned in proximity to the armature. The initiator charge mechanism when activated creates a pressure that drives the armature from one end of the bore to the other end of the bore. As the armature travels through the field poles, it creates an alternating magnetic flux in the field poles inducing an alternating current in the coil. The coil then carries the current to a storage device, for example a capacitor and/or battery, or applies the current to one or more other devices as an ignition charge.

  • Patent number: 8756843
Abstract: New handgun configurations are enabled by a multiple cartridge magazine that includes the firing chamber for each cartridge. The magazine is indexed mechanically through the stock, with full index on trigger pull or full index on trigger release or part of the index period on trigger release and the remainder on trigger pull, thus aligning each successive cartridge with the barrel for firing. A sliding trigger mechanism with an index finger pull portion actuates both the magazine indexing and the firing mechanism. The firing mechanism employs a trigger actuated spring-loaded hammer with a wedge portion, which impacts a corresponding wedge shaped anvil which may contain an eccentric adjustable firing pin for firing center fire or rim fire cartridges.

  • Patent number: 8746119
Abstract: An inductive or capacitative programming of a projectile is disclosed. A waveguide is used for the programming, the electromagnetic field being concentrated in the waveguide. The used programming unit includes at least one waveguide which is preferable located and/or integrated in the region of the muzzle, for example in front of the muzzle brake. A transmission coupler for the transmission is fed by a signal generator. The information relating to the projectile is modulated to the carrier frequency in the modulator. A reception coupler integrated on/in the projectile is electrically interconnected to a store or processor in the projectile. The reception coupler receives the modulated signal and transmits it to the processor which is where the eventual programming takes place.

  • Patent number: 8739445
Abstract: A robust and convenient caliber conversion kit is described, for example, for the higher-caliber GLOCKĀ® semi-automatic pistol. The caliber conversion kit has an internalized spent round extractor for more reliability. In addition, the firing pin safety relies on a set of two-dimensional surfaces, rather than on a one-dimensional line or edge, for cooperation (interaction and support) with the firing pin and with a recess in the firing pin housing that receives the safety, resulting in more security. Also, the spent round ejector is snugly fastened around an outwardly-extending abutment of steel on the barrel, the abutment being within a recess also snugly fitting the perimeter of the front end of the ejector, resulting in a quieter ejector mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8726556
Abstract: Various embodiments describe techniques for tracking a firearm and generating an alert when the firearm is outside a designated authorized location. In various embodiments, a location device, such as a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver coupled to a transmitter, is affixed to and/or associated with a firearm. A location of the firearm is transmitted via the location device to a location service module. The location service module compares the location of the firearm to at least one designated authorized location and, responsive to determining that the location of the firearm is not within the designated authorized location, generates an alert. A firearm that includes a location device is also described.

  • Patent number: 8720427
Abstract: A paintball gun having an internal pressure regulator is provided. The paintball gun includes a body, a launching tunnel, a rear lead shaft, the pressure regulator, and a back cover. A hollow barrel of the body allows the launching tunnel and the rear lead shaft to be accommodated successively therein. The pressure regulator is received in the rear lead shaft. The back cover is screwed to the body. Thereby, pressurized air coming from a gas cylinder is directly introduced to the pressure regulator so as for the paintball gun to dispense with any external air duct. Thus, the paintball gun poses no risk of duct burst and requires less assembling operation and fewer fixtures, thus reducing manufacturing costs.

  • Patent number: 8677668
Abstract: A firearm locking apparatus has a casing body which lodges within the chamber of a firearm, a rod which extends through the length of the barrel of the weapon, and a lock body which attaches to an outward end of the rod extending from the muzzle of the weapon. The lock body is attached such that there is not a sufficient length of exposed portion of the rod between the muzzle of the weapon and the lock body to allow attachment of any commonly known tool to the exposed portion of the rod. When the lock body is locked, it cannot be removed from the outward end of the rod, and the lock body freely spins on the rod. This configuration prevents removal of the rod and casing body from the weapon until the lock body is unlocked and removed, which allows removal of the rod and casing body from the weapon.
