Abstract: A method of producing barium titanate that includes making a slurry by dispersing barium titanate powder in a solvent such as ethanol. Then, in a high-pressure vessel, substituting supercritical fluid including carbon dioxide gas, for example, for the solvent in the slurry. Then, separating the barium titanate powder from the supercritical fluid by gasifying the supercritical fluid. Then, performing a heat treatment on the separated barium titanate powders to produce the barium titanate.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the dry slaking of calcium oxides and magnesium from calcomagnesian compound containing preferably at least 10 wt. % of MgO in relation to the total weight of said calcomagnesian compound, in which calcomagnesian compound is supplied to a slaking vessel, a slaking aqueous phase is supplied to the slaking vessel, followed by slaking the calcomagnesian compound delivered to the slaking vessel, by means of the slaking aqueous phase, and forming hydrated solid particles of calcium hydroxides and magnesium, in the presence of an additive. The invention also relates to the compound produced in this way.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to the manufacture of a precursor co-precipitate material for a cathode active material composition. Abstract: A method for supporting nano-titanium dioxide on titanium white powder includes: adding titanium white power into purified water and slowly stirring; adding both a surfactant and a dispersant to produce thick liquid; heating the thick liquid to 60° C.˜100° C., slowly adding nano-titanium dioxide, and quickly cooling to 40° C. within three minutes; and continuing to stir for three to four hours. The method solves the problem of nano-titanium dioxide easily agglomerating in a coating, and improves the stability of nano-titanium dioxide coating. A coating containing the nano-titanium dioxide prepared by the method and a method for preparing the coating are also provided.
Abstract: A xerogel production method includes: adding, to water glass, a basic silicic acid solution having a sol with a particle size between a particle size of the water glass and a particle size of colloidal silica, to acidify and solate the water glass, and polycondensing the solated water glass at 20° C. to 90° C., to obtain a hydrogel; growing the hydrogel by leaving the hydrogel for a certain time period at a constant temperature; hydrophobizing the hydrogel; and drying the hydrophobized hydrogel.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention overcome the well-known recalcitrance of lignocellulosic biomass in an economically viable manner. A process and system are provided for the efficient fractionation of lignocellulosic biomass into cellulose, hemicellulose sugars, lignin, and acetic acid. The cellulose thus obtained is highly amorphous and can be readily converted into glucose using known methods. Fermentable hemicellulose sugars, low-molecular-weight lignin, and purified acetic acid are also major products of the process and system. The modest process conditions and low solvent/solid ratios of some embodiments of the invention imply relatively low capital and processing costs.

Abstract: The functionalized silica for the synthesis of metal nanoparticles includes a silica surface functionalized by a hydrazino-triazine derivative. Abstract: The present invention provides an adsorbent for removal of con-carbon and contaminant metals in feed, said adsorbent composition consisting of clay in the range of 30-70 wt. % and silica in the range of 70-30 wt. %, wherein the adsorbent has a pore volume in the range of 0.25-0.45 cc/gm; a pore size in the range of 20 to 2000 ? and a bi-modal pore size distribution characteristics, with a maximum of about 32% of the adsorbent having a pore size in the range of 20-200 ? and a minimum of about 68% of the adsorbent having a pore size in the range of 200-2000 ?. The present invention also provides a process for preparing the said adsorbent.
