    Abstract: Dental suction apparatus is a modular construction, made up of a plurality of modules joined fluid-tight side-by side. A main suction duct extends through all of the modules. At least two of the modules have connection for suction hoses each having a suction nozzle, holders being provided on the modules for holding the suction nozzles when not in use. At least one module has a filter chamber connected between a suction tube and the main suction duct. A removable filter unit in the filter chamber has a basket-shaped filter on a stem by means of which the filter can be removed through on opening closed by a hinged cover. A cap on the stem provides a seal for the filter chamber. Flow of air from the suction tube of each suction tube module to the main suction duct is controlled by a valve in the form of a bellows provided with a telescopic guide and with a control valve for controlling the expansion and contraction of the bellows by differential pressure.

The running toy member is provided with a switching arm which is attached to the lower side thereof and is adapted to trigger an operation for changing the running direction, and a mechanism for effecting the change of running direction when actuated by the swinging arm. On at least one end of the track, a mechanism is provided for causing swinging movement of the switching arm to automatically change the running direction of the toy member as the toy member reaches that end of the track. The running toy member has the form of an animal such as, for example, a bird, and incorporates various mechanisms for effecting various actions simulating those of the actual animal, e.g., turning of the head, opening of a beak, etc., by making use of power provided by the driving wheels.

    Abstract: A simplified combination animal call has a casing divided into identical upper and lower half sections held together by a securing elastic band. Symmetrical channels of different widths spaced longitudinally along half sections provide airways through the casing whose openings act interchangeably as mouthpiece openings along one side of the casing and sound-emitting bells on the opposite side. Air blown through any such airway vibrates a second elastic band which spans each airway to produce an animal-like sound. Multiple airways of different widths make available several different pitch ranges at once. Changing either the size or tension of the vibratory elastic band changes the pitch that is available at each slot. Finally, the pitch produced may be dynamically varied either by changing the tension on the vibratory elastic or by compressing the mouthpiece side of the casing while the device is in use.

    Abstract: An article of manufacture for use in dental hygiene is disclosed. The device provides a leader, to which there is attached a thicker "mop" which can be comprised of a plurality of individual string members. The string members can be abrasive to enhance cleaning action. The several string members which form the "mop" would preferably have some absorbent quality in order to retain a desired therapeutic aid such as fluoride or the like. The strings could be alternatively fluoride impregnated. In use, the leader is first passed between gaps in the teeth until the "mop" portion contacts the gap. Sliding action of the abrasive mop between the teeth removes undesirable plaque and massages the gums. In the method of the present invention, individual thread members are added to the leader so that as many strings are placed between the teeth as possible without causing discomfort and the space between the teeth can be filled.

    Abstract: A toy assembly capable of locomotion on a solid surface and having reconfigurable component parts is disclosed. A fuselage of an airplane or rocket includes a front section configured to simulate a mobile cockpit which can be launched from the remainder of the fuselage by a spring loaded latching mechanism. Two interchangeable tail sections are provided for coupling to the fuselage. A first tail section includes a power source and a control switch to actuate an electric motor located in a center section of the fuselage. An electrical cable connects a second tail section to the first tail section whereby the toy is remotely controllable from the control switch. A multi-piece wing section is attached to either side of the fuselage. Each wing section includes a side member which, when detached from the wing provides an operable toy dart gun. The component parts of the wing sections are reconfigurable to provide other toy assemblies.
