The multiple single phase modules are connected to the grid via the filter in a star connection or a delta connection. The DC/DC converters and the cascade DC/AC modules are simple logical switches and have conversion efficiency higher than 99%, such that the photovoltaic solid-state transformer has a reduced volume, and an improved overall efficiency higher than 98.5%.
