  • Patent number: 6767177
Abstract: A magnetic lifting system for converting a skid loader into a magnetic lifting apparatus for transporting ferrous metals. The magnetic lifting system includes a platform attachable to a loader of a tractor, an arm member attached to the platform, and a magnet attached to the arm member by at least one chain. A generator upon the platform is mechanically connected to a hydraulic motor that is fluidly connected to the hydraulic system of the tractor to generate electricity. The generator is electrically connected to a controller which is electrically connected to a rheostat for controlling current flow to the magnet. The rheostat is electrically connected to the magnet by a power cable. The arm member is preferably slidably positioned within a receiver tube for allowing distal adjustment of the position of the magnet with respect to the platform.

  • Patent number: 6729837
Abstract: A sheet feeder for use with a stack having plates and sheets alternating. Sheets are removed by being reliably suction adhered with a sucker. The sheet feeder includes a suction device, and the sucker and device are mounted at a supporting portion. In order to allow suction adhering of the plates and sheets alternately stacked in a magazine, the suction device is operated when the sucker is brought into contact with the sheet, and the sheet is raised separately from the plate. Thereafter, the sheet is suction adhered to the sucker by suction. This makes it possible to prevent the sucker from suction adhering to the plate together with the sheet, and only the sheet is reliably removed from the stack.

  • Patent number: 6726201
Abstract: For the horizontal positioning of serially supplied, flat objects (1) to be conveyed onward, the objects (1) are supplied suspended, one of their main surfaces (10) facing downstream and the other main surface (11) facing upstream. Prior to positioning, lower edge zones (13) of the objects (1) are selectively accelerated or retarded relative to the upper edge zones (12), so that the objects (1) are brought into a position inclined relative to the vertical. Thereafter, the upper edge zones (12) are released and the objects (1), under the influence of gravity, are positioned on an onward conveying device, selectively either the downstream or the upstream main surface (10 or 11) facing upwards. For retarding or accelerating the lower edge zones (13), for example, a conveyor belt or two conveyor belts adjoining one another are utilized. The speed (v.3) of the conveyor belts is adjustable to convert from accelerating operation to retarding operation.

  • Patent number: 6708969
Abstract: A paper returner is placed in the vicinity of an end portion of a hopper for stacking a plurality of sheets of paper which faces a paper feeding roller, so as to be pivotable between a first position where the paper returner constitutes a part of the paper transporting passage, and a second position where the paper returner is isolated from the paper transporting passage. A separation pad is provided on a first face of the paper returner. The separation pad has a friction coefficient which is higher than a friction coefficient of the first face of the paper returner. The paper returner is placed at the first position so that a top sheet of paper in the hopper is abutted against the paper feeding roller, and is separated from other sheets of paper by the separation pad. The paper returner is placed at the second position so that the first face of the paper returner returns sheets of paper, which are entered in the paper transporting passage together with the sheet of paper to be fed, to the hopper.

  • Patent number: 6702277
Abstract: The invention relates to a delivery device for the sections of a strip of film that are fed in a direction of conveyance, especially in a bead welding machine, comprising a rotor (40) that is driven and rotated around an axis (40) lying parallel thereto on the plane of conveyance with several contact areas that extend radially towards the axis of rotation (40) and which grasp successively fed strip sections in an operational mode, deflect said strip sections from the plane of conveyance and deliver them to a delivery station, whereby each respective contact area (10) of the rotor comprises suction areas (12) that can be subjected to an underpressure to hold said strip sections on the contact areas (10) when the contact areas (10) of the rotor move through the segment of a circle (14) between a first and a second position of rotation (16 or 18). In order to achieve trouble-free delivery of said strip sections, the angle of the circle segment (14) can be adjusted within limits.

  • Patent number: 6699003
Abstract: In most cases, a hot, corrosive atmosphere is created in, for example, a semiconductor wafer processing chamber. When an arm including belts, such as steel belts, is moved into such a semiconductor wafer processing chamber, the belts are exposed to the hot, corrosive atmosphere. Belts, such as steel belts, have limited heat resistance and corrosion resistance and the hot, corrosive atmosphere in the processing chamber shortens the life of the belts. A carrying device of the present invention has a frog leg type arm (3) and a wafer holder (4) connected to the frog leg type arm (3). The wafer holder (4) is pivotally connected to front end parts of a first front arm (8A) and a second front arm (8B) by coaxial joints (10). The wafer holder (4) is linked to the first front arm (8A) and the second front arm (8B) by a posture maintaining linkage (5) including two antiparallel linkages capable of controlling the turning of the wafer holder (4) relative to the first and the second front arms (8A, 8B).

  • Patent number: 6663338
Abstract: A rear end loader includes a hitch frame that is designed to be connected to the three-point hitch of a tractor. Connected to and extending rearwardly from the hitch frame is a lift arm structure. The lift arm structure is pivotally connected to the hitch frame such that the lift arm structure can be raised and lowered relative to the hitch frame. A bucket is connected to the lift arm structure and there is provided a hydraulic cylinder interconnected between the lift arm structure and the bucket for articulating the bucket. A flexible cable is connected at one end to the lift arm structure and extends forwardly therefrom to where another portion of the cable is secured to a fixed point relative to the three-point hitch of the tractor. Thus, as the three-point hitch is raised and lowered, the cable causes the lift arm structure to raise and lower relative to the hitch frame.
