Abstract: A method of additive manufacturing includes storing a plurality of predetermined cell processing recipes, dispensing a layer of a plurality of successive layers of feed material on a platform, receiving data describing an area of the layer of the feed material to fuse, determining a combination of a plurality of non-overlapping cells that substantially cover the area, and sequentially processing the plurality of cells. Each cell processing recipe includes scan path data indicating a path for an energy beam to follow, and different cell processing recipes having different paths for the energy beam. Each cell of the plurality of cells gets an associated cell processing recipe selected from the plurality of predetermined cell processing recipes. Each cell is processed by causing an energy beam to follow the first path for the cell processing recipe associated with the cell.

  • Patent number: 11043812
Abstract: One example includes a forecast engine that generates forecast data that characterizes predicted operating conditions of an energy storage system for a given time period in the future, wherein the predicted operating conditions are based on a load history for a power consuming premises coupled to the energy storage system and on a value history for power provided to and consumed from a power grid. The load history of the power consuming premises characterizes unmetered power transferred to the power consuming premises, metered powered transferred from the power grid to the power consuming premises and metered powered exchanged from the energy storage system to the power grid. In the example, a schedule manager generates an operation schedule for operating the energy storage system. The operation schedule includes charge and discharge patterns for an energy storage source that are tuned to curtail power costs and/or elevate power revenue value.

  • Patent number: 10907847
Abstract: Disclosed is an intelligent heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (“HVAC”) system. Located within an architectural structure, the HVAC system incorporates an airborne contaminant-flow calculator. When sensors (or a human operator) detect an “incident” (e.g., a contaminant is detected or an unexpected breach occurs in the structure that may be associated with the introduction of a contaminant), the HVAC system recalculates airflows for the structure. If the newly recalculated airflow so warrants, the HVAC system protects the structure's occupants from the airborne contaminant by changing the airflow through the structure (e.g., the HVAC system closes a shutter in the air ducts, turns up a fan, or redirects airflow to a standby filtration system). The HVAC system's calculator uses a closed-form solution for calculating the airflow in order to present its results in a timely fashion.

  • Patent number: 10901398
Abstract: A controller includes a control operation unit that cyclically performs a control operation for controlling a control target, a data generator that generates data showing a chronological change in a value associated with a control target, and an analyzer that analyzes the data and outputs an analysis result in a predetermined analysis target period. The analysis target period includes a plurality of sections. The data generator sequentially outputs section data showing a chronological change in a value for each of the plurality of sections in the analysis target period. The analyzer analyzes the sequentially output section data for each section. When an analysis of section data for a section in the analysis target period shows a predefined result, the analyzer eliminates an analysis of section data for one or more sections in the analysis target period that are subsequent to the section for which the analysis shows the predefined result.
