  • Patent number: 11644269
Abstract: Various examples of a tool-free dust cover for firearms are described. The dust cover is a monolithic piece having a cover plate, a first connection portion, and a second connection portion, with at least one of the first connection portion and the second connection portion being elastically deformable to allow the dust cover to be pivotably coupled to a receiver portion of the firearm. The first connection portion is received in a cavity of a first hinge knuckle on the receiver portion next to a first long side of an ejection port of the receiver portion. The second connection portion is received in a cavity of a second hinge knuckle on the receiver portion next to the first long side of the ejection port. When in an open position, the cover plate uncovers the ejection port. When in a closed position, the cover plate covers the ejection port.

  • Patent number: 11604041
Abstract: A disconnector trigger bar safety for a semi-automatic pistol is provided and includes a trigger bar having a firing pin end having a sear surface and a cam surface. The trigger bar has an inside surface disposed adjacent to the cam surface. A disconnector is moveable from an inward position to an outward position and has a cam surface to receive the cam surface of a trigger bar. An inset portion is provided on the trigger bar at the firing pin end that has a bottom surface. A protuberance on the side of the disconnector is provided to mate with the inset portion of the trigger bar. The protuberance has a top surface matable to the bottom surface of the inset portion. Rearward movement of the trigger bar causes the cam surface of the trigger bar to slide against the cam surface of the disconnector to move the firing pin end of the trigger bar downwardly. The disconnector moves to provide clearance for the trigger bar to move upward.

  • Patent number: 11598598
Abstract: Trigger guard assemblies for firearms include a trigger guard movable between a closed positon; and an open position providing greater access to a trigger bow of the firearm. The trigger guard assemblies also include a post that engages the trigger guard, and is movable in relation to the trigger guard between a retracted position and an extended position. When in the retracted position, the post does not interfere with movement of the trigger guard between the open and closed positions. When in the extended position, the post interferes with movement of the trigger guard between the open and closed positions, and exerts a lateral force on the firearm to further secure the trigger guard to the firearm.

  • Patent number: 11578940
Abstract: Firearm trigger mechanisms with rotatable linkage members and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. A firearm trigger assembly configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a trigger, first and second linkage members, and a sear. The first linkage member, second linkage member, and sear are arranged in an over-center configuration that securely locks the sear in a first position. Pulling on the trigger causes the trigger to rotate about a fixed pivot point and push on one of the two linkage members, forcing the linkage members and the sear out of the over-center configuration. The force from a striking mechanism forces the sear and the linkage members into a collapsed configuration, releasing the striking mechanism and firing the firearm. This two toggle configuration of the trigger assembly provides crisp and reliable release of the firearm.
