Abstract: A method implemented by a network component is provided. The method includes receiving a Virtual Station Interface (VSI) Discovery Protocol (VDP) request from an Edge Virtual Bridging (EVB) station and transmitting, to the EVB station, a VDP Response in response to the request. The VDP Response includes a VDP Type-Length-Value (TLV) having a Filter Information field. The Filter Information field is configured to specify a Priority Code Point (PCP) value associated with one or more Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) Identifier (VID) values carried by the VDP Response. The PCP value is carried in a PCP field and adopted by the EVB station as a default PCP value associated with the VSI and at least one VID. The Filter Information field further contains a PCP Significant (PS) field associated with each PCP field, and wherein the PS field indicates whether the PCP field carries the PCP value.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods for carrying out device-to-device (“D2D”) communication. In one implementation, a user equipment (“UE”) communicates D2D with another UE using uplink radio resources. The first UE receives a downlink signal from a base station and determines the reception time. The first UE also receives a timing advance for uplink communication. Based on the reception time and the timing advance, the first UE determines an uplink transmission time. When transmitting to the second UE, however, the first UE does not transmit at the determined UL transmission time. Rather, the first UE delays its D2D transmission for a period of time that is based on the second UE's uplink timing advance.

Abstract: A method is described for receiving a physical signal by a communication apparatus in a wireless communication system supporting carrier aggregation of a first component carrier and a second component carrier. The communication apparatus receives a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal on the first component carrier. The communication apparatus also receives a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal corresponding to the PDCCH signal on the second component carrier. The first component carrier is different from the second component carrier. A starting orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol for receiving the PDSCH signal is determined according to information received via a radio resource control (RRC) signal.

Abstract: A network repeater is configured to repeat data packets in a broadcast mode without generating a significant broadcast storm. The network repeater is configured to detect a characteristic of a received data packet. The data packet characteristic is compared with valid copies of packet characteristics previously stored in a packet registry. During a delay period, if a valid copy of the detected characteristic is found in the packet registry, then it is assumed that the packet is being received for the second time and the data packet is not repeated in the broadcast mode. If a valid copy of the detected characteristic of the data packet is not found in the packet registry, then the characteristic is stored in the packet registry and the data packet is repeated in a broadcast mode.

Abstract: The technology described herein relates to a method in a gateway device and a gateway device for handling a context of a UE moving from a source HeNB (220) to a target HeNB. The gateway device is configured to receive a path switch request message from the source HeNB including a first pair of IDs and the gateway device is configured to transmit a second path switch request message to an MME including a second pair of IDs associated to the first pair of IDs. When the gateway device receives a UE context release request message from the source HeNB, the gateway device determines whether IDs in this message are associated to the same second pair of IDs. If this is the case, the gateway device maintains the UE context otherwise the gateway device releases or de-allocates the UE context.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting Non-Access Stratum (NAS) communication between a User Equipment (UE) and a Mobility Management Entity (MME) efficiently by addressing the signaling problems occurring between the UE and the MME in a situation where it is necessary for a network node to identify the UE and acquire UE information, if there is any, from another network node to which the UE has been attached, are provided. The method for communication between the UE and network based on the NAS protocol messages and operations is implemented with the involvement a UE, an MME, and an old MME or an old Serving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Support Node (SGSN) to which the UE has been attached before so as to facilitate discovering a best node using the UE information acquired from the old MME or old SGSN during the communication between the UE and the network, resulting in a reduction of a communication delay between the UE and network and an improvement of communication efficiency.
