The display condition is a condition to display a message based on the status information. When it is determined that the display condition is satisfied, the supporting program display the massage on a UI of a PC.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable recoding medium for an information processing apparatus stores instructions realizing a computer program. The program is installed in the information processing apparatus using printer model information coinciding with connected printer information indicating a model of the printer and sheet type information indicating the sheet selected by a user. Abstract: Traditional fax servers may be improved to interoperate with secure fax servers, enabling high-resolution, color fax receipt by the traditional fax server in addition to traditional low-resolution, black-and-white fax receipt. A process for authenticating and registering allows the traditional fax server to receive digital faxes sent through the secure fax server. Further, an automated registration process allows sending to any existing fax number through the secure fax server. If no verified destination is known, a traditional fax is sent. If that reaches a interoperable traditional fax server, the number may be verified, digital fax retrieved, and all future faxes to that number through the secure fax server delivered as high-resolution color digital faxes. This enables seamless fax quality upgrades within existing fax servers.

Abstract: A system and method for language-based multifunction peripheral control includes receiving a user selection of an electronic document via a user interface of wireless portable data device. User selected print settings are also received via the user interface for printing the selected electronic document. The selected electronic document is then printed in accordance with the user selected print settings. The user associates a verbal shortcut with their current print settings, and the verbal instruction and settings are stored associatively. When the user wishes to print again, they can select their document and issue verbal print instructions which include their verbal shortcut. Print settings associated with this verbal shortcut are retrieved from memory and the document is printed using the print settings.

In an embodiment, a status information managing unit acquires data indicating the status of each functional unit to be transmitted to an apparatus management server, and a system control unit instructs data acquisition timing for acquiring the data to the status information managing unit.
