Abstract: In a client machine that collects first data that is operation information of an apparatus and second data related to a use situation of a plurality of pieces of hardware including a processor, a memory, and a storage, control is performed so that, in a case where the client machine is in a power-saving state at a timing when data that is collected in the apparatus is transmitted to an external system, recovery from the power-saving state is performed and transmission of the first data is not restricted, and transmission of the second data is restricted, and in a case where the client machine is not in the power-saving state at the timing, the transmission of the first data and the transmission of the second data are not restricted.

Abstract: An image reading apparatus comprises a platen, a support, a reader, an open/close unit, a first obtainer, a mark, a positioning member, and a determiner. A position of the mark on a pressing surface of the cover, is provided at a position at which, in a case where a sheet of a maximum size among standard sizes that can entirely fit in a readable range of the reader is positioned with respect to the positioning member, at least a portion of the mark is not hidden by the sheet as viewed from the reader.

When the content box is modified, commands respectively indicating affine transformation matrices are generated. The commands are pushed into a command stack. The pushed commands are used for modification of a visual element. Specifically, the affine transformation matrices are multiplied and thereby an integrated transformation matrix is generated. The visual element is modified by multiplying an affine transformation matrix of the visual element by the integrated transformation matrix.

Abstract: A cloud-based document scanning system includes a cloud computing platform having a cloud computing application and a cloud storage system. The system further includes a scanning device communicatively coupled over a network to the cloud computing platform, the scanning device configured to: accept a set of documents; generate a set of digital image files corresponding to the set of documents; store the set of digital image files; and upload the set of digital image files directly to the cloud storage system. Upon receiving a request from the scanning device, the cloud computing application is configured to: access the set of digital image files; apply image processing operations to the set of digital image files in accordance with a plurality of image processing parameters, generate a portable document format document based on the processed image files, and send the portable document format document to a user-selected destination.

Abstract: A multifunction peripheral (100) is connected to a terminal device (200) via a communication link, receives image data transmitted from the terminal device (200) and forms an image based on the image data. Abstract: An image forming apparatus has a storage unit that provides a folder with which print setting information is associated, and an image forming unit for forming an image on a sheet.
