  • Patent number: 11694079
Abstract: A content-based image retrieval (CBIR) system and method is presented herein. The CBIR system generates a relatively short vector or array of data, referred to as a barcode, from an input image. The short vector or array data can be used to represent the content of the image for image retrieval purposes. The system obtains the image and applies a transform to the image to generate a plurality of image transform values. The system thresholds the plurality of image transform values to obtain compact image transform values. The system generates a barcode in accordance with the compact image transform values and representative of the image. The system may then transmit the barcode to a database for storage or draw the barcode on a display. The system may also compare barcodes to find and retrieve similar images associated with similar barcodes.

  • Patent number: 11687492
Abstract: Computer implemented methods for selective data deduplication in a multitenant environment are disclosed. Data deduplication of blocks written to a storage area associated with a tenant and redundant copies of the blocks written to other storage areas of other tenants is permitted or prevented based on tagging the first storage area associated with the tenant with a particular type of parameter. Responsive to detecting a write operation directed to the storage area tagged with a parameter indicating that deduplication is not permitted, a block to be written to the storage area is modified prior to hashing the block. Responsive to detecting a write operation directed to the storage area tagged with a parameter indicating that deduplication is permitted, a block to be written to the storage area is prevented from being modified prior to hashing the block.

  • Patent number: 11681710
Abstract: Security Information and Event Management tools, log management tools, log analysis tools, and other event data management tools are enhanced. Enhancements harvest entity extraction rules from queries, query results, and other examples involving the extraction of field values from large amounts of data, and help perform entity extraction efficiently. Entity extraction operations locate IP addresses, usernames, and other field values that are embedded in logs or data streams, for example, and populate object properties with extracted values. Previously used extraction rules are applied in new contexts with different users, different data sources, or both. An entity extraction rules database serves as a model that contains rules specifying parsing mechanisms. Parsing mechanisms may include regular expressions, separation character definitions, and may process particular file formats or object notation formats or markup language formats.

  • Patent number: 11669495
Abstract: Disclosed techniques include deduplication. Techniques include determining whether a file is unique, and depending on whether the file is unique, deduplicating only part of the file or the entire file. The techniques include processing the first chunk of a file to determine whether the hash of the chunk hash is already within a chunk hash table, and if not, then a percentage of chunks of the file is similarly processed. If any of the hashes of chunks are already in the chunk hash table, then at least some of file has been previously deduplicated, and file is not unique the storage system. If none of the processed chunks have a hash that is already in the chunk hash table, then the file is considered to be unique within chunk store and only a partial percentage of the file's chunks are deduplicated. Not all of a unique file's chunks are deduplicated.

  • Patent number: 11663216
Abstract: A data exchange that provides historical data indexed by date is provided. The data exchange may include a raw data layer, a model data layer, a delta staging layer, a delta database and a plurality of workspaces. The raw data layer may be a landing zone for raw data records. The model data layer may include modeled data records. The delta staging layer may be a landing zone for changed data. The changed data may correspond to changes made to the data records. The delta database may be divided into partitions. Each partition may hold data records that changed during a given time period. A plurality of data records may be continuously transferred from the raw data layer to both the model data layer and the delta staging layer. Once, during a predetermined time period, the contents of the delta staging layer may replace the contents of a partition.

  • Patent number: 11650957
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method receiving at a cache node notification of changes to files in a source file system served from a cache file system at the cache node. A cache file system is established at the cache node as a local share of a source file system at the source node. The source node establishes a local share of the cache file system at the cache node. Notification is received, from the source node, that the source node modified a source control file for a source file at the source node. In response to receiving the notification, a cache control file, for a cached file in the cache file system, is updated to indicate the source file at the source node is modified. A request is sent to the source node to obtain data for the source file indicated as modified.

  • Patent number: 11551024
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods to efficiently execute predictions models to identify future values associated with various nodes. A server retrieves a set of nodes and generates a primary prediction model using data aggregated based on all nodes. The server then executes various clustering algorithms in order to segment the nodes into different clusters. The server then generates a secondary (corrective) prediction model to calculate a correction needed to improve the results achieved by executing the primary prediction model for each cluster. When a node with unknown/limited data and attributes is identified, the server identifies a cluster most similar the new node and further identifies a corresponding secondary prediction model. The server then executes the primary prediction model in conjunction with the identified secondary prediction model to populate a graphical user interface with an accurate predicted future attribute for the new node.

  • Patent number: 11544229
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for tracking the flow of data through a network environment. A monitor can detect that a data transaction event has occurred. Then, the monitor can identify data involved in the data transaction event. Next, a trace identifier can be assigned to the data involved in the data transaction event. Subsequently, a transaction data subset representing a subset of the data involved in the data transaction event that is subject to a common data processing event can be identified. Then, a span identifier can be assigned to the transaction data subset. Next, a correlation identifier can be link to a combination of the span identifier and the trace identifier. Finally, a transaction event record can be written to a distributed ledger, the transaction event record comprising the span identifier and the transaction data subset.

  • Patent number: 11531658
Abstract: A method and apparatus for criterion-based retention of data object versions are disclosed. In the method and apparatus, a plurality of keys are sorted in accordance with an ordering scheme, whereby a key of the plurality of keys has an associated version of a data object and a timestamp. The key is inspected in accordance with the ordering scheme to determine based at least in part on the timestamp whether a criterion for performing an action on the associated version of the data object is satisfied. If the criterion is satisfied, a marker key is added to the plurality of keys, whereby the marker key precedes the inspected key according to the ordering scheme and indicates that the criterion is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 11520791
Abstract: A system for performing cascading search includes an associative memory array, a controller, a similarity search processor and an exact match processor. The associative memory array stores a plurality of multiportion data vectors stored in at least one column of the associative memory array. Each vector has a first portion and a second portion which are aligned to each other in the column. The controller controls the associative memory array to perform a similarity search of a similarity query on the first portion and an exact search of an exact query on the second portion. The similarity match processor generates a match row including match bit indications aligned with each similarity matched column. The match row indicates which columns have first portions which match to the similarity query. The exact match processor outputs exact match columns from among the similarity matched columns which have second portions which match the exact query.
