Abstract: System for controlling a conveyor system in a wallboard production line, including a computer processor and a deadband tuning module for controlling at least one of a line speed of a conveyor belt, a foam air amount for a slurry, and an amount of water deposited into a mixer. The deadband tuning module calibrates and sets a hysteresis threshold value based on input data of at least one of the line speed, the foam air amount, and the amount of water. The input data is collected over a predetermined period. A database is provided for storing at least one statistical information of the input data during the predetermined period. The deadband tuning module determines a deadband range based on the hysteresis threshold value and the at least one statistical information using the processor.

  • Patent number: 10216212
Abstract: A power monitoring system which is communicatively coupled to power sensors in one or more rack computer systems, where the power sensors generate data indicating electrical power consumption by mass storage devices in the racks, can determine an operating temperature of the mass storage devices based on the power data and adjust one or more components which support computing operations in the racks to manage the operating temperatures. Operating temperature can be determined based on a predetermined relationship between electrical power consumption of one or more mass storage devices and the operating temperature of the mass storage devices. Component adjustment can include adjusting an operating state of one or more components. Such operating state adjustment can include adjusting the cooling induced by a cooling system, adjusting data migration to and from mass storage devices, and adjusting operation activity on mass storage devices.

Abstract: A tool-support system for working on holes of a surface. The tool-support system includes two rails fixed to the surface and having imprints regularly distributed over their length, and a mobile tool-support including a mobile optical system capturing an image of the surface. For each rail, at least one wheel is adapted to be moved on the rail, and includes on its rolling strip counter-imprints complementary to the imprints. A mobile tool carries a working tip, and a control unit is configured to control the movement of the mobile tool-support, of the tool and of the optical system to analyze an image captured by the optical system and to detect the presence of a hole. A tool-support system of this kind can therefore move along the rails without slipping while detecting the holes to work on them.

  • Patent number: 10095202
Abstract: A configuration management interface system is provided for standardizing communication between an external application and one or more hardware or emulated industrial controllers. The interface system reads one or more industrial control programs and presents available data tags defined by the control programs to a user via an interface screen. The user can select a subset of the available data tags that are to be exposed to the external application for data communication. Based on the selected data tags, controller configuration information read from the control programs, and additional configuration information provided by the user, the interface system generates a control unit file that acts as a communication bridge between the external application and the selected data tags residing on the industrial controllers. The control unit file can be used to interface the application (e.g., an industrial simulation or another type of application) with either hardware controllers or emulated controllers.
