  • Patent number: 12196091
Abstract: Aircraft Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) controllers and related methods are described herein. An example APU controller includes a sensor interface to receive a signal from a speed sensor. The signal includes pulses representing a rotational speed of an engine of an APU. The APU controller also includes an overspeed detection circuit including a counter to count a number of pulses from the signal occurring within a time interval, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to convert the number of pulses into an analog voltage signal and a comparator to: compare the analog voltage signal to an overspeed threshold signal and generate a shutdown command in response to the analog voltage signal exceeding the overspeed threshold signal. The APU controller also includes a valve driver to, in response to receiving the shutdown command, cause a fuel shutoff valve to cease fuel flow to the engine of the APU.

  • Patent number: 12197697
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for dynamic application icons are described. The application may receive, as part of an application downloading operation, an application software package. The application software package may include a plurality of icons that are configured to visually distinguish the application on a user interface of the user device from other applications running on an operating system of the user device. The application may identify a satisfaction of an achievement threshold corresponding to an alternate icon based on processing data. The application may output, to the operating system of the user device, a visual display instruction to display the alternate icon on the user interface instead of the default icon based on identifying the satisfaction of the achievement threshold. The alternate icon may be visually representative of a type of achievement corresponding to the achievement threshold.

  • Patent number: 12181938
Abstract: Temperature regulation at one or more modules of an information handling system is challenging due to a large number of sensors from which data is to be read, to a lack of information from which the temperature of the module or associated temperature tolerances can be determined, or both. The disclosure obviates reliance on data derived from sensors and does not rely on temperature tolerance data to regulate a temperature at a module. Access data is obtained that includes a number of accesses to the module, a time at which each access of the number of accesses occurs, or both. A temperature pattern is derived, based on the access data, and that corresponds to a temperature profile of the module. Open-loop control of a cooling device is initiated, based on the temperature patterns, to regulate a temperature of the module, a temperature profile of the module, or both.

  • Patent number: 12182376
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing a customer a central location to manage permissions provided to third-parties and devices to access and use customer information maintained by a financial institution are described. The central location serves as a central portal where a customer of the financial institution can manage all access to account information and personal information stored at the financial institution. Accordingly, the customer does not need to log into each individual third-party system or customer device to manage previously provided access to the customer information or to provision new access to the customer information. A user additionally is able to have user data and third-party accounts of the user deleted from devices, applications, and third-party systems via a central portal. Restrictions on how user data is used by devices, applications, and third-party systems can be imposed via a central portal.

  • Patent number: 12181853
Abstract: A Bayesian learning approach for stability boundary and optimal parameter identification in milling without the knowledge of the underlying tool dynamics or material cutting force coefficients. Different axial depth and spindle speed combinations are characterized by a probability of stability which is updated based upon whether the result is stable or unstable. A likelihood function incorporates knowledge of stability behavior. Numerical results show convergence to an analytical stability lobe diagram. An adaptive experimental strategy identifies optimal operating parameters that maximize material removal rate. An efficient and robust learning method to identify the stability lobe diagram and optimal operating parameters with a limited number of tests/data points.
