  • Patent number: 11528760
Abstract: A wireless device receives (1502) configuration information indicating that the wireless device is to report identifier information for a cell. The configuration information identifies a first frequency. The wireless device acquires (1504) a first part of system information for the cell on the first frequency, using the configuration information. The wireless device determines (1506) that a second part of system information for the cell is not transmitted on the first frequency. The second part of system information for the cell is necessary for determining the identifier information. The wireless device receives (1508) the second part of system information, including the identifier information, on a second frequency and reports (1510) the identifier information for the cell to the wireless communications network.

  • Patent number: 11510176
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to determine a time gap between receiving a paging early indication (PEI) and receiving a paging message based on a link quality of the UE. The UE may determine the time gap based on a number of reference signals the UE may measure after receiving the PEI to obtain channel information for accurately decoding a forthcoming paging message and a periodicity of the reference signals. The UE may transmit UE assistance information (UAI) to the base station during an active state to indicate the time gap. The UE may receive a configuration message from the base station indicating a configured time gap for the UE based on the UAI. The UE may receive the PEI and monitor a paging occasion for the paging message according to the configured time gap.

  • Patent number: 11503660
Abstract: In a dual network link scenario, a wireless network may provide a user equipment (UE) with a measurement configuration indicating multiple inter-frequency measurement objects during an off duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle configured on a first network link. The UE may assign the inter-frequency measurement objects to a second network link if the second network link has an always-on configuration. Alternatively, if the second network link has a DRX configuration, the UE may perform some inter-frequency measurement activities on the first network link and assign some inter-frequency measurement objects to unoccupied gap occasions in the off duration for the DRX cycle configured on the second network link. In this way, the UE may save power by spending more time in a low power state, and mobility performance for the UE may be improved by increasing the efficiency and reliability of inter-frequency measurement activities.

  • Patent number: 11464065
Abstract: Systems and methods for extending connectivity with a cellular network are disclosed herein. A UE may monitor a serving cell of the UE and a neighbor cell of the UE to determine whether there is a network condition wherein the UE is to transition to an out-of-service (OOS) state if it were to fall to an Radio Resource Control (RRC) Idle state. The UE may react by, before expiration of an inactivity period corresponding to a transition to an RRC Idle mode, initiating signaling activity with a radio access network (RAN) node of the serving cell. In other embodiments, the UE may determine, based on a number of secondary devices connected to the UE, to initiate signaling with the RAN node of the serving cell before expiration of an inactivity period and according to whether a maximum number of extensions of an extension activity period has been reached.

  • Patent number: 11457371
Abstract: A device may receive network data from base stations associated with a network and may aggregate the network data to generate aggregated network data. The device may remove data that satisfies a threshold from the aggregated network data to generate a reduced set of the aggregated network data. The device may divide the reduced set of the aggregated network data into groups of network factors associated with determining network parameters for the base stations. The device may apply weights to the network factors in the groups of network factors to generate groups of weighted network factors and may generate baselines for the network parameters based on the groups of weighted network factors. The device may compare the network data and the baselines to identify one or more anomalies in the network parameters and may perform one or more actions based on the one or more anomalies.
