Abstract: Systems and/or methods for use in connection with digital downloading jukeboxes are provided. Such systems and/or methods may be used to provide enhanced communications capabilities, e.g., to registered users of jukeboxes. In certain exemplary embodiments, users may become registered users directly at a jukebox. Registered users also may, in certain exemplary embodiments, receive coupons for free plays, import playlists from hardware devices and/or software applications, receive special pricing when playing certain instances of media, play playlists in whole or in part, create and/or manage playlists directly at a jukebox, establish and manage connections with other registered users, etc. Still further, in certain exemplary embodiments, one or more channels may be predefined and/or set up for a jukebox.

Abstract: A method for retrying processing of a controlled payment transaction includes: storing, in a first database, account profiles, each including data related to a transaction account including an account identifier and account controls; storing, in a second database, the account profiles stored in the first database, wherein data in each account profile in the second database corresponds to data in the corresponding account profile in the first database; receiving an authorization request for a transaction, the request including a specific account identifier and transaction data; determining an approval or denial of the transaction based on the account controls included in a profile in the second database including the specific account identifier and the transaction data if an attempt to determine approval or denial based on the account controls included in a corresponding account profile in the first database fails; and processing the payment transaction based on the determination.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing payment requests via a series of matching operations are described. Rules that compensate for incomplete or inaccurate information are applied to customer requests and stored merchant information to create identifiers, or “tokens.” Tokens can be searched for, compared, and matched with confirmed merchant information, allowing for the identification of merchants known to financial institutions despite erroneous or missing information in the customer request.

Abstract: A system for managing smart cards is disclosed. A system for managing smart cards, comprises a key management server for managing at least one master key used to grant the right to manage a smart card which operates in conjunction with a mobile terminal, and generates an installation key, used to grant the right to install or store a predetermined applet, based on the master key, and a card management server for receiving the generated installation key, and provides the applet to the mobile terminal based on the installation key in response to a request from the mobile terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for a single broadband portal where all content may be delivered to users of varied electronic devices. An example embodiment (i) provides a user interface for enabling user selection of media contents per varied electronic devices, each varied electronic device having a respective platform, the user interface indicating one or more different possible media contents; (ii) accepts from a user requests for distribution service to any of the varied electronic devices of the user, the requests specifying a user desired media content; (ii) locates the user desired media content from a plurality of storage modules; (iv) transmits the user desired media content to at least one of the varied electronic devices of the user; and (v) tracks the transmission of the user desired media content for billing purposes.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and computer-storage media for maintaining privacy while delivering advertisements based on encrypted user profile identifiers. In embodiments, a Public key Encryption with Keyword Search (PEKS) is used to generate a public key and a private key. In embodiments, a public key and a private key are used to encrypt user profile identifiers and generate trapdoors associated with defined profile identifiers, respectively. A portion of the encrypted user profile identifiers are compared to a portion of the trapdoors. If a match is present between at least one encrypted user profile identifier and an associated trapdoor, a delivery engine is provided with an identification of content to be delivered to the user. The provided description is then used to determine an advertisement to present to a user. The advertisement is then presented to the user.

Abstract: Policy enforcement via attestations is provided. A principal operates within an environment and assumes roles having certain access rights to resources and the principal takes actions while assuming those roles. The roles and actions are monitored and attestations are raised under the proper set of circumstances. The attestations trigger policy restrictions that are enforced against the principal. The policy restrictions circumscribe the access rights to the resources.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus for malware detection detect and stop the distribution of malware and other undesirable content before such content reaches computing systems. A malware detection service external to network edges of a system receives a request from a computer within the system, the request identifying a signature associated with content. The service determines a status indicator of the content using the signature, and transmits the status indicator to the computer.

Abstract: A payment system transaction authorization server computer, or another computer, performs calculations to determine a transaction count value stored in a payment device for which a transaction authorization request was sent to the authorization server computer. The computer in question “guesses” appropriate transaction count values, and then attempts to duplicate an encryption calculation result that was originally generated by the payment device and that was included in the transaction authorization request.

Abstract: Future promotions can be tested on a live production website with a preview web application that is separate from a live production web application used by customers. A preview session is established with the preview web application on a live production server responsive to receiving a request to perform a command on the live production server in a preview mode that allows testing of a future promotion. A preview context and a content context are instantiated for the preview session. The preview context indicates a time in the future to use in processing the request on the live production server. The preview web application dispatches the request to the live production web application on the live production server. The second web application processes the request with business logic based, at least in part, on the preview context and the content context.
