Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are described herein for determining a location from anonymous data. For example, a computing device may receive anonymous data associated with a browser session initialized by a user via a browser on a user computing device. The computing device may determine that the user has not been assigned a unique identifier. The computing device may determine whether the user opted-in to location tracking. If the user opted-out of location tracking, the computing device may determine a latitude coordinate and a longitude coordinate of the user computing device during the browser session. The computing device may identify a physical address for the user based on the latitude coordinate and the longitude coordinate, for example, using a map application programming interface (API). The computing device may assign the unique identifier to the user. The computing device may associate the unique identifier to the physical address.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for selecting actions to be performed by an agent interacting with an environment. In one aspect, a method comprises, at each of one or more time steps: generating a respective action score for each action in a set of possible actions, wherein the set of possible actions comprises: (i) a plurality of atomistic actions, and (ii) one or more optimization actions, wherein each optimization action is associated with a respective objective function that measures performance of the agent on a corresponding auxiliary task; selecting an action from the set of possible actions in accordance with the action scores, wherein the selected action is an optimization action; in response to selecting the optimization action, performing a numerical optimization to identify a sequence of one or more atomistic actions that are predicted to optimize the objective function.

Abstract: A virtual marketplace may offer end users the ability to acquire articles (including tools and metadata objects) that are compatible with an enterprise operating system platform. The virtual marketplace may determine one or more articles that are implemented (or installed) on the enterprise operating system platform. The enterprise operating system platform may be provided to the end user by an operator of the marketplace. The articles including articles that may be used for evaluating a performance of an entity. The virtual marketplace may further ascertain data that are processed or generated by the articles that are implemented on the enterprise operating system platform. The virtual marketplace may additionally determine functionalities that are used or provided by the articles. Accordingly, the virtual marketplace may provide a recommendation of associated articles from the virtual marketplace that have at least one dependency relationship with the articles.

A system may include at least one processor configured to generate a table containing cells for holding values and enable association of a communications rule with a specific cell of the table, wherein the communications rule includes a trigger that automatically activates when a specific value in the specific cell meets a criterion. The processor may trigger the communications rule when the specific value in the specific cell meets the criterion, and communicate, upon triggering of the communications rule, a message relating to the specific value in the specific cell meeting the criterion.

Abstract: A computer implemented method comprises storing a transaction variable-set corresponding to a fuel transaction for a vehicle, wherein the transaction variable-set includes a fuel consumption history for the vehicle, a net sale, a number of purchased fuel units, and a diff value. The method further comprises deriving, by a machine learning module and based on the transaction variable-set, a plurality of characteristics of the purchased fuel, wherein the plurality of characteristics includes a fuel type of the purchased fuel and a fuel grade of the purchased fuel.

Abstract: A system for identifying perishable products in a retail store based on analysis of image data and for automatically generating suggestions relating to the identified products is provided. The system may comprise at least one processor configured to: receive a set of images depicting a plurality of perishable products displayed on at least one shelving unit in a retail store; analyze the set of images to determine information about a displayed inventory of the plurality of perishable products; obtain information about additional perishable products scheduled to be displayed on the at least one shelving unit; use the information about the displayed inventory and the information about the additional perishable products to determine at least one suggestion regarding placement of perishable products in the retail store; and provide the at least one suggestion to an entity associated with the retail store.

Abstract: An operation defense method and device, apparatus and computer-readable storage medium are provided. The method includes: receiving an operation request from a business system through a shared interface; according to a parameter carried in the operation request, selecting at least one risk evaluation algorithm for the operation request from an algorithm rule library shared by a plurality of service systems; performing risk evaluation to the operation request with the selected risk evaluation algorithm; and according to a risk evaluation result, determining to allow the operation request. In the present application, a centralized operation defense mechanism is used to analyze the operation requests from different service systems and to select an appropriate risk evaluation algorithm to calculate the risk coefficient of each operation request, so that an operation with a high risk can be prevented, and a diffusion range of an abnormality can be reduced.

Abstract: A system for reducing product shortage durations in retail stores based on analysis of image data is provided. The system may comprise: a communication interface configured to receive image data from retail stores indicative of a product shortage of a product type relative to information describing a placement of products of a product type on a store shelf; and at least one processor configured to: analyze the image data to detect occurrences of product shortages of the product type in the retail stores and determine durations associated with the occurrences; identify a common factor contributing to the duration of part of the occurrences of the product shortages; determine an action, associated with the at least one common factor, for potentially reducing product shortage durations of future shortages of the product type in the retail stores; and provide information associated with the identified action to an entity.

Abstract: Dynamic pricing may be applied in an online ride-hailing platform. Information may be obtained. The information may include a set of pricing candidates and an initial status of a ride-hailing platform. The set of pricing candidates may be updated based on the initial status of the ride-hailing platform to minimize a cross-entropy between the set of pricing candidates and a target pricing policy that maximizes a total income of the ride-hailing platform. A price for at least one current trip request on the ride-hailing platform may be generated based on the updated set of pricing candidates.

Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for assisting with scheduling a meeting are presented. A message comprising a plurality of sentences may be received. A hierarchical attention model may be utilized to identify a subset of sentences of the plurality of sentences that are relevant to a scheduling of the meeting. A subset of words in the subset of sentences that are potentially relevant to scheduling of the meeting may be identified based on relating to at least one meeting parameter. The subset of words may be split into a first group comprising words from the subset of words that are above a meeting relevance threshold value, and a second group comprising words from the subset of words that are below a meeting relevance threshold value. An automated action associated with scheduling the meeting may be caused to be performed.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for determining unique contacts from a collection or pool of merchant data are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for an apparatus including circuitry configured to determine programmatic match results indicating whether different instances of merchant data match (e.g., describe the same contact). The circuitry may further determine probabilities of precision or recall errors with the programmatic match results. Programmatic match results having a high probability of error may be annotated by a user to generate user match results. The user match results may be used to generate a more reliable contacts database including unique contacts, as well as to train and/or update the match scoring algorithm. As such, the accuracy of machine-implemented binary classification is improved.
