  • Patent number: 11061004
Abstract: A system and method in which, upon receipt of an analysis initiation instruction and regardless of the necessity of any changes in operation at the time of the analysis initiation, an integrated controller of a system control unit notifies other units of analysis initiation and changes the luminescent color of a state indication LED to blue, which is common to each unit. In a liquid supply unit that receives a notification of the analysis initiation, a local controller changes the device status to “RUN” and changes the luminescent color of a state indication LED to blue. This is also applies to other units. Upon completion of the analysis, the integrated controller notifies each unit of the analysis completion and changes the display color of the state indication LED to green. Each unit also changes the display color of the state indication LED to green.

  • Patent number: 11045749
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to settler plates for a plate settler. The settler plates generally include a hollow support with a hollow interior to receive clarified liquid from a flow channel between adjacent settler plates. An orifice is formed through the hollow support to direct clarified liquid from the flow channel into the hollow interior. The orifice can be positioned such that clarified liquid can flow upwardly out of the flow channel and downwardly through the orifice into the hollow interior. The hollow support can be integrally formed with the settler plate. For example, the hollow support can be formed by bending a tab extending from an end of the settler plate. The tab can be bent into a hollow support with a cross section that is generally polygonal.

  • Patent number: 11008821
Abstract: A process for recovering weight material for reuse in drilling fluids from a previously unavailable source of feed stock. The process described herein includes a process of cleaning drilling waste through either low temperature thermal or solvent washing to remove hydrocarbon or water based drilling fluid contamination. The cleaned drilling waste, substantially free of liquids is sifted and the bulk fraction is further treated by employing conventional separation technology to recover a high gravity solids phase while discarding low gravity solids phase as tailings. Additionally, described is a process where the recovered high gravity solids phase can be reused as a high density weight material, or lower cost weight material, either of which is desirable to the drilling of modern oil and gas wells. The process of adding drilling fluid back into the recovered weight material to simplify the process of transporting the weight material into an active drilling fluid system is also described.

  • Patent number: 10995025
Abstract: A liquid flow distribution system comprises a flow chamber and a rotor. The flow chamber has a flow chamber inlet, a flow chamber outlet and a chamber flow path extending from the flow chamber inlet to the flow chamber outlet. The flow chamber path is curved so as to generate a generally vortical flow in liquid passing through the chamber flow path. The rotor has a plurality of rotor blades rotatably mounted about a rotor axis. The rotor is mounted in proximity to the flow chamber outlet and positioned such that a flow of liquid exiting the flow chamber outlet impacts one or more of the rotor blades to rotationally drive the rotor. Rotational driving of the rotor in turn disperses liquid impacting the rotor blades.

  • Patent number: 10967301
Abstract: A settling or sedimentation tank including inlet structures arranged, through whose inlet opening the suspension to be separated flows to the tanks, the height of which can be variably adjusted. In addition to the height variability of the inlet opening, the volumetric flow flowing out of the inlet structure can, depending on the actual load, be directed by forming a horizontally flow-through inlet opening or a vertically flow-through inlet opening and can optionally be divided into horizontal and vertical partial flows QI and QII. As a result of the horizontal inflow, the capacity of the sedimentation tank increases at high loads, and as a result of the vertical inflow, the volume flow through the sedimentation chamber and the turbulent energy in the sedimentation chamber decrease at low loads, so that the retention of fine suspension in the sedimentation tank is increased and thus the effluent quality is improved.
