Abstract: Technologies are described herein for collaborative management of activities occurring during the lifecycle of a meeting. A collaboration program includes functionality for collaborative management of activities occurring during the entire lifecycle of a meeting. Using the collaboration program, meeting participants can collaborate on the creation of a meeting agenda prior to the occurrence of a meeting, can independently take and exchange meeting notes during a meeting, and can collaboratively generate a meeting summary following the meeting. The meeting agenda, meeting notes, and meeting summaries can be synchronized to a shared workspace accessible to each of the meeting participants through the collaboration program.

Abstract: A method of unlocking a locking mode of a portable terminal, which includes sensing a user's gesture input which is set in a locking mode of the portable terminal. The locking mode is unlocked in response to the user's gesture input, and a function mapped to the user's gesture can be executed when unlocking the locking mode. A portable terminal compares gestures among predefined sets of gesture information in order to check whether there is a gesture that coincides with the analyzed gesture.
Abstract: Systems and methods for editing and publishing online posts and browsing published online posts published are disclosed. An exemplary system comprises a server such as a website and a database for storing posts and user profiles. The exemplary server provides user interfaces associated with a specific user and displayable in a remote user device. The exemplary user interface for editing allows the user to create one or more content containers in a post and easily change the containers' contents, positions, and even types. The exemplary user interface preferably automatically rearranges the positions and/or sizes of the containers to achieve a best viewing result. The exemplary user interface for browsing posts displays one or more posts based on the display mode, including a tile mode and a detailed mode, and viewing the contents of the post selected by the user.
Abstract: A system and method for displaying a post unit within a stream interface are provided. A stream interface is provided for display and comprises at least one post unit. For the at least one post unit, post content and a first interface set are provided for display on a first side of the post unit. The first interface set includes one or more interface components for interacting with the post content, and an expand interface component for expanding the first interface set. An indication of a user selection of the expand interface component is received. In response to the received indication, and for the at least one post unit, the post content and a second interface set are provided for display on a second side of the post unit. The second interface set includes a greater number or a different class of interface components for interacting with the post content.
Abstract: A system and method for replaying a user's interaction with a webpage by requesting playback of user interaction data from a replay server, receiving a media asset from the replay server to allow playback the requested user interaction data, the media asset being pre-fetched for use by a proxy application, periodically requesting and receiving the user interaction data from the replay server, recreating an interaction visualization from the user interaction data, and playing back said interaction visualization based on data received from the replay server.

Abstract: A technique for executing applets is provided. Initially, a webtop applet is loaded into, for example, a browser window. The webtop applet displays the list of applets available to a user. The user selects one or more applets from the list received by the webtop applet. The webtop applet generates a separate JInternal frame for each selected applet, and each JInternal frame executes its associated applet within a separate window. The windows assume different configurations such as being resized, repositioned, cascaded, tiled, windowed, minimized, maximized, or overlapped with one or more other windows within a fixed-size view space of the browser window. Each window is manipulated by the user separately from the other windows which are contained within the fixed sized view space.

Abstract: Provided are a method of controlling a screen display and an image display device using the same. The method includes: displaying a first object and a second object on a screen; as the first object displayed in a first area is dragged toward the second object, displaying a second area including the second object as a drop position of the first object; and as the first object is dropped in the second area, moving the first object to the second area and displaying the moved first object.
Abstract: A force feedback system provides components for use in a force feedback system including a host computer and a force feedback interface device. An architecture for a host computer allows multi-tasking application programs to interface with the force feedback device without conflicts, where a single active application may output forces. A background application also provides force effects to be output and allows a user to assign force effects to graphical objects in a graphical user interface. Force feedback effects and structures are further described, such as events and enclosures.

Abstract: Hubs for social interaction via electronic devices are described. In one aspect, a data processing device includes a display screen displaying a social interaction hub, the social interaction hub including a collection of records. Each record includes a counterparty identifier identifying a counterparty of a past social interaction event, a mode indicium identifying a mode by which the past social interaction event with the counterparty occurred, and a collection of mode indicia each identifying a mode by which a future, outgoing social interaction event with the counterparty can occur. The counterparty identifier, the mode indicium, and the collection of mode indicia are associated with one another in the records of the social interaction hub.

Abstract: A mobile terminal having a wireless communication unit configured to wirelessly communicate with at least one other terminal, a touchscreen configured to display a screen of a specific one of a plurality of currently active applications, the displayed screen including selectable content and a controller is provided. When at least one selectable content is selected from the displayed screen, the controller is configured to control the touchscreen to display an information indicator indicating at least one application capable of executing the selected content among the plurality of currently active application. When the displayed information indicator is selected, the controller is configured to execute the selected content via an application corresponding to the selected information indicator.
Abstract: In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods for accessing a presentation stored on a remote server with a first computing device that is connected to the remote server over a network. The first computing device communicates with the network over a wireless connection. The first computing device is used to cause a second computing device to display the presentation. The second computing device is connected to the remote server over a network. The display of the presentation is substantially controlled with communication between the first computing device and the second computing device. The communication occurs only through the remote server.
Abstract: An upsell engine that provides a purchaser of a first item the opportunity to purchase a second item that is related to said first item. The first item may be a virtual item and the second item may be a real world item related to or a representation of the virtual item. The upsell engine preferably tracks the preferences or personal information of the user in order to upsell real world representations of the virtual item.

Abstract: Methods, systems, graphical computer interfaces, and computer readable media are disclosed to enable optimizing video frame rendering characteristics for an application. The method includes rendering a video frame and capturing push buffer settings representing the rendering of the video frame. The method also includes modifying an aspect of the push buffer settings while bypassing the application, and re-rendering the frame with the modified aspect. The method further enables comparing the rendering with the re-rendering, and presenting comparison results. Graphical user interfaces are provided to enable the functionality, without having to modify code of the application to appreciate what potential changes to the application can present in terms of performance rendering and processing efficiencies.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of navigating an information structure comprising: providing a graphical menu interface displaying the items of a given level of the information structure and enabling selection thereof; dynamically constructing an active path as a sequence of active links after an item of the information structure has been selected; said active links allowing the display of one or more items on a given level of the information structure; and said active links allowing a user to access an item in the information structure by selecting from the one or more items displayed by one of the active links on the active path.
Abstract: A system is provided for tracing end-to-end transactions. The system uses bytecode instrumentation and a dynamically injected agent to gather web server side tracing data, and a browser agent which is injected into browser content to instrument browser content and to capture tracing data about browser side activities. Requests sent during monitored browser activities are tagged with correlation data. On the web server side, this correlation information is transferred to tracing data that describes handling of the request. This tracing data is sent to an analysis server which creates tracing information which describes the server side execution of the transaction and which is tagged with the correlation data allowing the identification of the causing browser side activity.

Abstract: An external system (e.g., a website) is associated with an event and includes an interface that allows users to interact with streams of content associated with a social networking system. The interface allows a user to provide posts about the event via the interface, where the posts are displayed in the interface and also in a social networking interface on social networking system in connection with the user and other users associated with that user. The user can view, via the interface on the external system, posts from all users that are provided via the interface (e.g., everyone watching the event), thereby increasing the likelihood that the posts are relevant to the event. The user can also view, via the interface, posts from users associated with the user via the social networking system (e.g., friends of the user), regardless of where those are posted.
