  • Patent number: 6802486
Abstract: An ergonomic reading stand for holding books, catalogs, etc. consists of a right and left support, a bracket, a pivoting shaft with knurled screws and a base. The slant of the book can be variably adjusted by releasing the knurled screws (on both ends of the pivoting shaft) and by displacing the shaft forwards or backwards, in relation to the base. Threaded pins for adjusting the sliding resistance that is generated when the pivoting shaft is displaced are provided on the underside of the pivoting shaft, below the right and left slide bearing. The bracket is used to hold down the book pages and can be adjusted to the thickness of the book by a displacement parallel to the lower bearing surface. The bracket can be pressed down to enable the pages to be turned rapidly. After the bracket has been released, it springs back into its original position.

  • Patent number: 6802482
Abstract: An overboot device is provided for increasing a foot print of a foot portion of a bi-pod firearm support. The overboot preferably comprises a base having a cone projecting therefrom and a cylinder axially extending from the cone. A plurality of fingers axially extend from the cylinder and include a tab radially projecting therefrom. The tabs form a ring which combines with an axially spaced apart annular flange radially projecting from the cone to define a recess therebetween. A removable band nests within the recess so as to constrict the fingers toward one another to reduce the diameter of the cylinder such that the overboot may be secured about the foot portion of the bi-pod assembly.

  • Patent number: 6802329
Abstract: A top setting-up mechanism for folding tent includes an upper hub pivotally connected to inner ends of upper ribs of the tent, a lower hub pivotally connected to inner ends of stretchers of the tent, and a pull cord. A guiding tube having internal guiding ribs is fitted in the upper hub. An upper part of the lower hub is formed into a hollow retainer having external guiding grooves. When the pull cord is pulled, the retainer on the lower hub is brought into the guiding tube to enable quick and accurate coupling of the lower hub to the upper hub, and the guiding grooves on the retainer of the lower hub interfere with the guiding ribs on the guiding tube fitted in the upper hub to prevent the upper and the lower hub from turning relative to one another, and thereby ensures a stable erection of the tent.

  • Patent number: 6702239
Abstract: An adjustable-length shaft implanted in the ground for supporting trees. A helical screw is mounted on the lower end of the shaft. A lever arm, passed into a lever fitting attached to the shaft, is rotated about the shaft, causing the helical screw to penetrate and lodge in the ground. An anchoring bracket is attached to a portion of the shaft immediately above the ground. An anchoring rod is driven through the bracket into the ground, preventing further rotation of the shaft. A rigid fastening arm extends outwardly from the upper end of the shaft. The outer end of the fastening arm has a flexible strap with a free end. After adjusting and securing the shaft at the desired height, the free end of the strap is looped around the tree trunk and back through a ratchet mechanism in the fastening arm, which holds the free end fast.

  • Patent number: 6695275
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a longitudinal adjustment device for vehicle seats, in which the seat is attached along each of its long sides to runner rails 10, mounted with freedom to slide in guide rails 15, which are attached to the vehicle. Each runner rail 10 has a locking device, which can be released from its connection to the guide rail 15. The locking device comprises a release lever 21, 22, supported with freedom to swivel on each runner rail 10, to move the device into its released position, which lever is to be shifted via rods 31, 32 of an actuating element 30 supported on the runner rails 10. The adjusting moment exerted on the actuating element 30 is transmitted to the rods 31, 32 via a differential, where the rods 31, 32 are disconnected from each other. As a result, each rod can be moved until the locking device has been moved completely into the position in which it is released.
