  • Patent number: 6794002
Abstract: For a memo pad, many sheets 1 are bound at a back face as bound sheets using gum. The memo pad is provided with a cover paper on the top and a mounting paper on the bottom. The sheets 1 are printed from a central area of the sheet surface to over an outer peripheral area, with a decorative pattern. Outer peripheral non glued edges of the memo pad have a rugged shape modeled after the decorative pattern in a direction of the sheet surface and in a direction of the bound sheet thickness, such that even if the sheets 1 are turned up one by one or removed, a three dimensional decorative pattern reappears from the surface of the remaining sheets 1 to over the outer peripheral edge.

  • Patent number: 6793999
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a decal wherein the user can print the decal image onto the decal using a computer printer. The decal is preferably supplied to the end user as a kit, wherein the kit comprises a base section onto which the decal image may be printed, and an adhesive section, which provides the adhesive to affix the base section to the substrate after the design has been printed onto the base section. The decal of the present invention does not require a paper layer in the finished decal product, which allows the decal of the present invention to be very thin. In one preferred embodiment, the decal has a thickness of less than about 1.5×10−3 inches.

  • Patent number: 6783830
Abstract: A tape structure and/or closure system particularly useful with cylindrical insulation segments for pipes. The tape structure provides both a temporary and a permanent closure. The tape structure includes a substrate and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on both sides of the substrate. One of the layers of pressure sensitive adhesive is covered by a release liner, while the other layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is exposed. The exposed layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is applied to one of either the underside of a flap covering a slit in the insulation jacket, or to the outer surface of the insulation jacket. The release liner is divided into two portions, one of which is narrow with respect to the other portion. The narrow portion of the release liner is removed, and a narrow strip of the second layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is attached to the other of either the outer surface of the jacket, or the underside of the flap to form a temporary closure.

  • Patent number: 6780484
Abstract: An adhesive article including a liner having a first side and a second side; and an adhesive having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the second surface of the adhesive contacts the first side of the liner, wherein the article has been exposed to E-Beam radiation through the second side of the liner, and wherein the article has been wound upon itself causing the second side of the liner to come into contact with the first surface of the adhesive, and wherein the second side of the liner to the first surface of the adhesive have a release value that is less than the release value of the first side of the liner to the second surface of the adhesive. A method of producing an adhesive article including the steps of applying release coating compound(s) to a second side of a liner backing; applying an adhesive onto a first side of said coated liner backing; crosslinking said adhesive with E-Beam radiation applied through the second side of said liner backing; and winding said article into a roll.

  • Patent number: 6780485
Abstract: A pre-textured sealing tape is provided for sealing the chink between the stacked logs in a log structure. A woven or textile type of backing support material is coated with a thin layer of flexible moisture impermeable material resembling conventional chinking materials. A suitable adhesive can be applied to the opposite side of the support materials with the adhesive covered by a release layer. The tape is cut to the desired width for the chink that is to be sealed and is finished in a rolled configuration. An acrylic resin mixed with silicon sand has been found to be preferable for the flexible texturing of the tape. The tape can be applied directly to the logs or to objects positioned within the chink, such as splines or insulation sheeting.
