Abstract: In one embodiment, a method executed by at least one processor includes receiving first historical location information identifying a first location area at which a first user was present at a first time and receiving second location information identifying a second location area at which a second user was present at a second time. The method includes determining that the first historical location information and the second location information each correspond to a particular location area and determining that a characteristic related to the first user corresponds to a preference related to the second user. In response to these determinations, the method includes causing information related to the first user to be presented to the second user. The information related to the first user includes the first location area of the first user relative to the second location area of the second user.

  • Patent number: 11936559
Abstract: One technique includes receiving, in a first network, a multi-destination packet from a second network, and determining, based on the multi-destination packet, a first multi-destination tree in the first network for forwarding the multi-destination packet. In response to determining that the first multi-destination tree is not rooted on the network device, a second multi-destination tree in the first network is determined, and the multi-destination packet is transmitted using the second multi-destination tree. Another technique includes, upon detecting a first network device joining a network, sending a first indication to a second network device that the first network device is in a state for an amount of time. After the amount of time has elapsed, a second indication that the first network device has exited the state is sent to the second network device. A topology of the network is updated after the first network device has exited the state.

  • Patent number: 11902849
Abstract: A cable communications network provides an alternative communications path between a user equipment device and a data network to a cellular path for a communications session with a desired level of Quality of Service. A cable modem termination system, coupled to a wireless core network, e.g., a 5G core network, interacts with the wireless core network to attempt to establish a PDU session for a UE with a desired QoS level. The core sends a QoS service request message to the CMTS including a requested level of QoS, an IP address and port number for the session. The CMTS and cable modem, corresponding to the UE, negotiate and decide if the request desired QoS level can be supported over the cable between the CMTS and the cable mode for the session.

  • Patent number: 11888541
Abstract: A method and system of determining spectral interference are disclosed. In one embodiment, a spectral interference model for a first set of proposed base stations is obtained. The spectral interference model is implemented for the first set of proposed base stations to calculate first modeled spectral interference values, wherein each of the first modeled spectral interference values indicates a spectral interference value for a corresponding one of the first set of proposed base stations. The first set of proposed base stations are updated based on the first modeled spectral interference values to obtain a second set of proposed base stations. First empirical spectral interference values are then obtained for a first proper subset of the second set of proposed base stations. The first empirical spectral interference values are compared with the modeled spectral interference values and the second set of proposed base stations are updated based on the comparison.
