  • Patent number: 10645647
Abstract: Disclosed aspects and embodiments pertain to conserving power usage during an Observed Time Difference of Arrival (OTDOA) measurement session. For example, a server or other network entity may receive information related to a Discontinuous Reception (DRx) or Connected Mode DRx (CDRx) configuration associated with a user equipment (UE) and provide, to the UE, information related to one or more base stations having Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) occasions that coincide with an OFF state associated with the DRx/CDRx configuration. Alternatively and/or additionally, the UE may receive OTDOA assistance information indicating when certain PRS occasions occur and a serving base station or other network entity may provide the UE with a DRx/CDRx configuration having an OFF state that coincides with the PRS occasions. As such, the DRx/CDRx parameters may be exploited to substantially reduce or eliminate measurement gaps and conserve power usage during an OTDOA session.

  • Patent number: 10637761
Abstract: System and method providing resource access control within a single partition in a network switch environment in a high performance computing environment. A resource request portion of an IB packet includes data identifying a resource request for a requested resource, and a context identification portion of the packet includes data identifying a context of the resource request. Access rights to a controlled resource are determined based on the requested resource relative to the controlled resource and according to a comparison of the context of the resource request relative to one or more valid request context values. A resource table storing valid Q_Key and P_Key context values may be indexed by a Dest. QP of the packet header to determine selective access to the controlled resource and/or to data relating to the controlled resource.

  • Patent number: 10630583
Abstract: Systems and methods for supporting multiple LIDs for dual-port virtual routers in a high performance computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, a dual port router abstraction can provide a simple way for enabling subnet-to-subnet router functionality to be defined based on a switch hardware implementation. A virtual dual-port router can logically be connected outside a corresponding switch port. This virtual dual-port router can provide an InfiniBand specification compliant view to a standard management entity, such as a Subnet Manager. In order to allow for packets addressed outside of a local subnet and for those packets addressed to a switch port configured as a router port within a local subnet, the subnet manager can configure the switch port configured as a router port with two or more local identifiers.

  • Patent number: 10547463
Abstract: Computerized aspects monitor listening virtual local area network ports for multicast packets from hypervisor virtual machines that meet a multicast group definition, and retrieve source addresses for original hypervisor sources of detected ones of the multicast packets, bind the retrieved addresses to the multicast packets to generate encapsulated packets, and forward the encapsulated packets as user datagram protocol unicast packets to a destination address of a virtual extensible helper daemon defined for a destination hypervisor of a second virtual local area network. The destination address meets the multicast group definition for the first virtual local area network, and the second virtual local area network is geographically remote from and different from the first virtual local area network, and thus the aspects send the first user datagram protocol unicast packet through an internet protocol router to the designated receiving port.
