Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating adaptive policies from organization data for detection of risk-related events. One method comprises obtaining features identified in organization data of an organization for a risk analysis, wherein a given feature comprises a plurality of data values, wherein each data value for the given feature comprises a discrete value of the given feature or a range of values for the given feature; obtaining a probability of occurrence associated with each data value based on the organization data; identifying a plurality of candidate anomalous data values based on the probabilities of occurrence; determining an intervention rate for a plurality of combinations of the candidate anomalous data values; and generating policies for the organization using the combinations of candidate anomalous data values based on a corresponding intervention rate. The generated policies are used to detect one or more risk-related events.

Abstract: The moving and arrival time at each destination during movement to destinations can be visualized in an easily understandable manner and the moving time can be adjusted. A portable device that displays action plan information which involves a movement within an arbitrary period and/or execution support information of the action plan which involves the movement includes: a display unit, a display control unit, and a spatiotemporal action diagram display control unit. The display control unit displays a time coordinate axis on the display unit, displays the action plan information, which involves the movement along the time coordinate axis, and displays speed information of all movements included in the action plan information at an arbitrary time simultaneously. The spatiotemporal action diagram display control unit receives an input for correcting the speed information of the movement.

Abstract: An aspect of providing job assignment optimization includes creating a feature vector from features extracted from a new job request. Each of the features is associated with a constraint on minimum requirements with respect to a level of experience of a potential candidate. An aspect further includes creating a feature vector for each employee that includes skills attributed to the employee and instances that each of the skills have been completed, searching feature vectors generated from the employee database for the minimum requirements indicated in the new job request feature vector, searching the feature vectors of the database for the minimum requirements indicated by constraints associated with the new job request, modeling aggregate utility of past experience of employees as a weighted sum of applied utility functions, and generating a score indicating a difference between a potential post assignment and a pre-assignment utility. An aspect also includes outputting qualified candidates.

Abstract: A computer implemented method for managing sales information associated with a prospect. The method includes receiving data, at a processor, associated with the prospect; storing the received prospect data in a memory; analyzing, at the processor, the prospect data; generating, at the processor, a sales plan based at least on the analyzed data by generating at least one guideline; transmitting the at least one guideline to a sales member; receiving, at the processor, feedback data associated with the at least one guideline; and analyzing, at the processor, the received feedback data to update the sales plan based at least on the analyzed feedback data.

Abstract: A system and method may determine the carbon emissions risk to an institution through its lending and investment activities to a plurality of counterparties by, for example, determining carbon emissions data for a number of counterparties and, for each counterparty, determining the carbon emissions risk to the institution. A system and method may determine the proportion of total capital of a counterparty that is being financed by a bank, and multiply this by a carbon emissions measure for the counterparty. Embodiments may be applied to determine optimal investment strategies for managing an institution's exposures to carbon risk over time.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products are presented for the automation of corporate process workflows that require the generation and completion of multiple documents. An Automation Platform receives a selection to initiate a workflow process that includes a sequence of one or more documents that correspond to respective document outline types for workflow completion. The Automation Platform classifies a first document according to a first document outline type in the sequence of the initiated workflow process. The Automation Platform assigns (i.e. maps) one or more named entities extracted from the first document to respective document parameters for the first document outline type and determines a schedule for automatic completion of a second document in the sequence of the initiated workflow process based in part on the first document outline type of the first document and one or more of the assigned named entities extracted from the first document.

Abstract: A system and a method for determining when a predetermined number of a specific product or of a type of product has been sold so that an alert can be generated when the number sold exceeds the predetermined number. Transaction rules can be set to monitor transaction data in a database to achieve this result. The transaction rules can be set for a generic product, for a specific product, or to exclude certain products. The system and the method issue an additional alert when data in a database indicates that the number of a specific product or of a type of product being sold in a selected time frame is below the selected predetermined number or another selected predetermined, for a selected period of time.

Abstract: System and methods are described for deriving normalized infrastructure metrics to represent customer experience of a cloud computing system, continuously evaluating a profile for a tenant of the cloud computing system and determining a customer experience indicator for the tenant in real-time or near real-time, without losing accuracy, based at least in part on the infrastructure metrics and the profile.

Abstract: A technique for management of workflow configurations is disclosed. In an embodiment, an update in a workflow configuration is received. Further, a list of transactions in a workflow at multiple levels are fetched upon receiving the update in the workflow configuration, the workflow includes the list of transactions and a list of stakeholders associated with the list of transactions. Furthermore, a plurality of clauses at each of the multiple levels are executed to determine a set of eligible stakeholders for performing the list of transactions and corresponding actions. Each of the plurality of clauses are decision control points configured at each of the multiple levels. Moreover, the list of stakeholders and corresponding actions for each of the list of transactions at the multiple levels are dynamically updated based on the set of eligible stakeholders for performing the list of transactions and corresponding actions.

Abstract: The embodiments the systems and methods described herein attempt to optimally select a group or portfolio of control locations for each test location. The optimization can be generally performed in two steps. First, an objective function is defined that scores the similarity of a set of control locations averaged together. Second, given the large number of potential solutions, a computationally-feasible algorithm that identifies an optimal set of control locations and is based on the objective function is executed. In order to obtain the optimal set of control locations in an efficient manner for use in business analytics, the algorithm may use a hill-climbing algorithm. As a result, an optimization function can be incrementally improved in an efficient manner.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to utilizing a statistical model trained on character dimensions to determine a likelihood of a person purchasing a product. The method may include obtaining user-input data of a first person (e.g., textual-input data, survey-response data, offer information, or clickstream data associated with a first person). A character profile for the first person is derived using the user-input data and a psycholinguistic lexicon. A statistical model is generated based on the derived character profile of the first person. Second user-input data associated with a second person is obtained. The second user-input is applied to the statistical model to determine an output of the model (e.g., a statistical probability value that quantifies, for example, a predicted intention of the second person to purchase a particular product).

Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying potential simultaneous operational conflicts among a plurality of assets in a project. One method includes storing operational scheduling data for a project having one or more project assets, the project assets able to perform a plurality of operational activities at defined coordinates, in a scheduling database, and storing project-specific variables for the project in an external data source. A database query is then performed of the scheduling database and the external data source using a computer, returning all possible combinations of the operational activities, including defining a common reference, calculating distances from each defined coordinate to each other defined coordinate, and filtering the calculated distances to filter out potential operational conflicts, for example distances greater than one or more user-defined buffer distances.

Abstract: A method for tracking containers. The method includes manufacturing containers, including forming the containers and serializing them with machine-readable codes. The method further includes using the machine-readable codes to store data associated with the containers, and supplying the containers to a customer. The method still further comprises receiving from the customer, data obtained from customer-readings of the machine-readable codes; and receiving from one or more the locations in a distribution chain in which the containers travel, data obtained from readings of the machine-readable codes at those locations. The method still further comprises comparing the data from the customer-readings and other readings or the machine-readable codes across product brands, product distribution channels, and/or container types, and providing the data to the customer.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a member profile corresponding to a member of a social networking service is obtained. Usage information for the member is then obtained, and one or more member metrics are calculated based on the member profile and usage information for the corresponding member. A plurality of features are extracted from the member profile and the one or more member metrics. The plurality of features is inserted into an organization name confidence score model to obtain a confidence score for an organization name in the member profile.
