  • Patent number: 10205914
Abstract: Systems and methods for streaming video and/or audio from wireless cameras are provided. Methods may include, at a network camera, receiving an instruction to begin video capture from a first network node, including information identifying a second network node. A first video stream may be sent from the network camera to the first network node, and a second video stream may be simultaneously sent to the second network node. The first and second video streams may be based on common video capture data, and may be sent at different bitrates, different resolutions, different frame-rates, and/or different formats. A parameter of the second video stream may be adjusted in response to performance data received from the second network node or another network node.

  • Patent number: 10176616
Abstract: Various embodiments receive frames as a stream captured during a camera session. During the camera session, faces and facial features of each face are detected from the frames. Then, each face in each frame is assigned a score based on the detected facial features. Using the scores, a candidate frame is selected for each individual face to represent a “best” representation of that face. In addition, an overall score is calculated for each frame based on a combination of assigned scores for the faces in the frame. Then, a reference frame is located from the frames based on the overall score for a respective frame. Faces from the candidate frames are then merged onto the reference frame, and an output image is generated for display.

  • Patent number: 10154210
Abstract: A global shutter imaging pixel may have a single source follower transistor. The source follower transistor may be coupled to a floating diffusion region and a charge storage region. In order to read out samples from the charge storage region without including a second source follower transistor in each pixel, the samples may be transferred to floating diffusion regions of adjacent pixels. Alternatively, a transistor may be configured to transfer charge from the charge storage region to the floating diffusion region of the same pixel, thus reusing a single source follower transistor. These types of pixels may be used for correlated double sampling, where a reset charge level and integration charge level are both sampled. These pixels may also operate in a global shutter mode where images are captured simultaneously by each pixel.

  • Patent number: 8094193
Abstract: The present invention is a camera control system designed for video capture of a presentation made in a lecture hall or similar place. The system combines preset views triggered by presence-sensing devices at fixed locations with views tracking the motion of the presenter elsewhere. A tracking camera displays a preset view when the presenter steps on a switch mat or enters into the region of detection of some other presence sensor such as an infrared sensor. At other times, the tracking camera is guided by motion detection logic that uses a wide field of vision provided by a reference camera. The reference camera, the tracking camera, and the presence-sensing devices are integrated by a controller. Various parameters can be configured by a user through a graphical user interface on a computer, manual controls on the box housing the controller, or a hand-held remote control device.

  • Patent number: 8013920
Abstract: An imaging system provides a serial video signal that is indicative of the intensity of the light. The imaging system has an array of pixel image sensors arranged in rows and columns. A control circuit is in communication with the rows of the array and the plurality of column switches. The control circuit generates reset control signals, transfer gating signals, pixel image sensor initiation signals for each selected row for controlling resetting, integration of photoelectrons generated from the light impinging upon the array of pixel image sensors, charge transfer of the photoelectrons from the photosensing devices to the charge storage device, and to activate the photoelectron sensing devices on each row to generate output signals from each of the pixel image sensors on a selected row. The control circuit generates the column selection signals for transfer of the output signals from selected rows to form a serial video output signal.
