Abstract: A method automatically detects stability of a regulator cascade having a number of cascaded regulators. A regulation error of a respective regulator is processed by the respective regulator and the processed regulation error is output as a regulator manipulated variable. A reference variable for the respectively downstream regulator in the regulator cascade is ascertained as a function of the regulator manipulated variable. The method includes: ascertaining an energy content of a respective regulation error; ascertaining whether an absolute value of a respective regulator manipulated variable exceeds an associated limiting value or not; and generating a stability measure for the regulator cascade as a function of the energy contents of the respective regulation errors and as a function of whether the respective regulator manipulated variables exceed their associated limiting values or not.

Abstract: The various embodiments herein provide a system and method that enables a buyer to have a conversation about the purchase of a non-commoditized product, where the product is complicated and has several configurations to choose when the buyer tries to make a purchase. The embodiments herein enable the sales of products in a virtual shopping-space. The embodiments enable the buyer to interact with the product in a 3D virtual space and choose a preferred configuration using one of many controllers present in the system. The buyer also receives advice and recommendation from the virtual avatar about the available options or explanation about the benefits of one product or configuration over the other. Once the recommendation is received, the user is enabled to provide feedback either through voice commands or through a feedback controller about the recommendation made by the system.

The modeling system generates a virtual object by: receiving an image showing a portion of a real-world object, determining an area of the image that corresponds to the portion of the real-world object, associating, in the virtual object, the area of the image with a face of the plurality of faces of the three-dimensional shape, and associating, in the virtual object or in metadata of the virtual object, properties of the three-dimensional shape with the virtual object. The virtual modeling system presents the virtual object in the user interface by at least showing the area of the image superimposed on the face and showing the properties.

Abstract: A maintenance and monitoring infrastructure can use a plurality of sensors or monitors in an industrial plant to obtain machine samples from a large collection of assets (industrial machines). An artificial-intelligence (AI) assistant can conversationally interact with a technician to answer questions regarding maintenance status of the assets in the plant. The technician can conversationally request various machine samples and/or associated interactive user interfaces to examine and analyze the samples in relation to maintenance and monitoring tasks. The AI assistant can identify and retrieve relevant data and in real-time build instructions for generating user interfaces responsive to the technician's conversational requests.

Abstract: Method of creating shared AR session based on a gesture starts with server receiving observed motion data from first device associated with first user. First device generating observed motion data based on an analysis of data stream comprising images of second user performing a gesture. Second user being associated with second device. Server receiving from second device captured motion data that corresponds to the gesture. Captured motion data being recorded by a sensor included in second device. Server determines whether there is a match between observed motion data from first device and captured motion data from second device. In response to determining that there is the match, server generates shared AR session between first device and second device and causes shared AR session to be displayed by first device and second device. Abstract: A cloud computing system is provided for testing a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Management System (DERMS) that manages operation of DERs connected to a power system. The cloud system implements a DERMS testing platform on virtualized cloud computing resources of the system. The platform tests the DERMS and is modularized. In some embodiments, the DERMS is modularized into at least a simulation module and a communication module, where the simulation module is configured to simulate DER(s) of power system and the communication module communicatively interfaces DERMS with DER(s) via communication network(s). The simulation module also simulates the power system under test conditions as the DERMS manages operation of DER(s) via the communication module. The cloud computing system exposes the platform as a service for testing the DERMS under test conditions. The cloud system scales the resources allocated to the platform with the number of DER(s) simulated under different test conditions.

Abstract: A visual vehicle-positioning fusion system and a method thereof is provided. In the method, an image point cloud map stored in a storage device is converted into a longitude and latitude database corresponding to the image point cloud map. Longitude and latitude measurement coordinates received by a positioning device are used as first location information. The longitude and latitude database is compared with the longitude and latitude measurement coordinates to generate the initial location of a vehicle. Feature matching is performed on the initial location and the image point cloud map to generate second location information of the vehicle on the image point cloud map. The first location information or the second location information is selected as a final positioning output information and outputted based on a positioning fusion rule.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for dynamic, data-driven consolidation of user interface interactions requesting roadside assistance. The method includes identifying a data objective requiring user data, accessing user data, and determining whether the user data satisfies a confidence threshold. A request for roadside assistance—following satisfaction of the confidence threshold—is also issued.
