  • Patent number: 9875071
Abstract: An image processing device may perform an analysis by utilizing target data representing a target image of a print target, so as to select, from among a plurality of types of print orders for printing the target image, one type of print order in which a print of the target image is presumed to be completed in the shortest time period. In each of the plurality of types of print orders, an area in the target image to be printed by the initial main scanning of the print head may be mutually different. The image processing device may create print data by utilizing the target data for causing a print performing unit to perform the print of the target image according to the selected one type of print order, and supply the print data to the print performing unit.

  • Patent number: 9846825
Abstract: A method of generating a region-based representation of a document is disclosed. A global compositing sequence is generated based on a predetermined rule, using fill data and at least one compositing operation associated with a plurality of objects of the document, to form an object-based representation of the document. The region-based representation of the document is generated based on a further compositing sequence determined for regions formed using the object-based representation. The method also determines whether at least one of the regions satisfies the predetermined rule using a relative arrangement of the objects in the object-based representation. Where the region satisfies the predetermined rule, a reference to the global compositing sequence is created. Where the region does not satisfy the predetermined rule, a local compositing sequence is generated using fill data and compositing operations associated with the objects contributing to the region.

  • Patent number: 9626138
Abstract: System and methods for reconstructing a suspended print job. In one embodiment, a print controller receives a print job, and initiates construction of a sheet based on logical pages of the print job. Print controller determines a sheet number for the sheet that identifies a page number of one or more logical pages related to the construction of the sheet, an offset for the sheet that identifies an order of the sheet with respect to other sheets that share the sheet number. Print controller also assigns a sheet identifier to the sheet that includes the sheet number and the offset, and receives the sheet identifier in response to a determination to resume the print job from a suspended state. Print controller initiates processing for resuming the print job from the sheet based on the sheet number and the offset in the sheet identifier.
