  • Patent number: 11647479
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for measuring signal strength emitted by a wireless portable device to determine the location of the wireless portable device. The wireless portable device may be located within a designated geographical location, premise or facility. The measurement involves two levels of transmissions. A first level involves a user's wireless portable device receiving signals from a plurality of beacons in the vicinity. The second level involves transmission of repeater signals from a mesh network. The payload of these signals, which may include a duress signal, includes the strength of the received beacon signals, so that when the duress signal is received by a controller, the signal strengths of both levels/types of transmissions can be determined. This two-level collection of signals is then processed by a neural network which have been previously trained to classify the signal collections into precise locations.

  • Patent number: 11647108
Abstract: A service processing method and a terminal, where the terminal obtains identification information of a to-be-processed service, and sends a retrieval request message to a server after determining that no function corresponding to the identification information of the to-be-processed service exists in an application program installed on the terminal. The terminal receives a target function from the server, and invokes the target function to process the to-be-processed service. The terminal sends the retrieval request message to the server only after determining that no corresponding function exists such that the terminal does not need to obtain a web application from the server each time. In addition, the terminal receives the target function from the server such that traffic and a download time are effectively reduced.

  • Patent number: 11606747
Abstract: A centralized controller determines n radio remote units (RRUs) in m RRUs, where a sum of first downlink reference signal received powers (RSRPs) of a same terminal, corresponding to the n RRUs, is greater than or equal to a first preset value, and a first downlink RSRP of one terminal corresponding to one is a received power that is estimated by the centralized controller, that is measured by the terminal, and that is of a reference signal (RS) from the RRU at a corresponding first RS transmit power. The centralized controller turns off an RRU that is in the m RRUs and that is different from the n RRUs, boosts a second RS transmit power corresponding to each of the n RRUs to a corresponding first RS transmit power, and enables each of the n RRUs to send an RS at the corresponding first RS transmit power.

  • Patent number: 11558894
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to an apparatus, system, and method for providing aperiodic uplink grants to a UE for aperiodic communications from the UE to a base station. In some embodiments, the UE may be configured to communicate information to the base station, which may be useable by the base station to determine an uplink grant schedule for subsequent communications between the base station and the UE. This uplink grant schedule may be aperiodic, i.e., the uplink grants may be issued at non-uniform intervals of time. The UE may receive the uplink grants from the base station according to the uplink grant schedule. The UE may transmit uplink communications to the base station in response to the received uplink grants.

  • Patent number: 11514670
Abstract: A method comprises receiving an area of interest (AOI) selection. The method further comprises accessing an AOI device location data for the AOI, the AOI device location data indicating locations of devices over time received within the AOI. The AOI device location data is filtered to only include the device location data that match one or more characteristics. A proximity zone is determined for the for the AOI that includes the area of the AOI. A zone device location data for the proximity zone is determined, which indicates locations of devices over time reported within the proximity zone. The method further comprises normalizing the filtered AOI device location data by computing a ratio of the filtered AOI device location data and the zone device location data to generate an AOI user estimate, and transmitting the AOI user estimate to a client device of a requestor.
