Abstract: Methods of powering a radio that is mounted on a tower of a cellular base station are provided in which a direct current (“DC”) power signal is provided to the radio over a power cable and a voltage level of the output of the power supply is adjusted so as to provide a substantially constant voltage at a first end of the power cable that is remote from the power supply. Related cellular base stations and programmable power supplies are also provided.
Abstract: A method of obtaining a virtual SIM for a mobile device comprises sending, to a TTA for authentication, a request for a virtual SIM for a mobile device associated with the TTA. The authenticated request is sent from the mobile device to an NRS application (or to a combined NRS/PCSS application). The mobile device subsequently receives information identifying a PCSS application (or a combined NRS/PCSS application) in a computing environment that provides a virtual SIM for the mobile device.
Abstract: A method for predicting outdoor three-dimensional space signal field strength by extended COST-231-Walfisch-Ikegami propagation model, comprising: establishing a three-dimensional scene model between a transmitting base station and a predicted region space; performing an on-site measurement according to a certain resolution in a prediction region and recording wireless signal strength information at a height of 1 m above the ground; acquiring a vertical cross section between the transmitting base station and a receiving point at a height of 1 m above the ground, and acquiring therefrom an average roof height, an average street width and an average between-building space; predicting a reception signal strength at a measurement point in a calculation formula of a COST-231-Walfishch-Ikegami propagation model; correcting the COST-231-Walfishch-Ikegami propagation model of the measurement point according to an error ? between measured data and a prediction result; acquiring a vertical cross section between the tra
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for displaying a locked interface, and a mobile terminal. The method includes: presenting an unlocking interface to a user, so that the user inputs an unlocking password through the unlocking interface; in a process of receiving the unlocking password, comparing a received part of the unlocking password with a set unlocking password to determine a correct degree value of the received part of the unlocking password; and displaying a locked content interface and/or the unlocking interface according to the correct degree value.

Abstract: An approach is provided for providing adaptive location sampling in mobile devices. The approach involves determining one or more maneuvers from among a plurality of one or more links representing a localized area of a transportation network. Each of the one or more maneuvers is a combination of two or more adjacent links of the one or more links. The approach also involves determining a road length and a speed attribute for each link in said each maneuver. The approach further involves calculating a travel time for said each maneuver based on the road length and the speed attribute of said each link. The approach further involves calculating a sampling interval for the mobile device traveling in the localized area based on the travel time. The mobile device is configured to collect probe data using one or more sensors at the sampling interval while traveling in the localized area.
Abstract: A method, device and a computer program product operable in a communications network to provide enhanced public warning system (PWS+) messages to a communication device over the current PWS system is disclosed. The method includes generating, at a server or network device, at least one public warning system (PWS) message and at least one enhanced PWS (PWS+) message, and associating the PWS+ message with the at least one PWS message. The at least one PWS+ message and the PWS message are transmitted via a communications network to the communication device.

Abstract: An approach is provided in which a mobile device receives a first message from an electronic tag that includes a computer network address and also a unique property identifier corresponding to a physical property. The mobile device activates a camera in response to receiving the first message and, in turn, transmits a second message to the computer network address that includes the unique property identifier and an image captured by the activated camera.

Abstract: Telephone directory data stored in storage unit (103) of a cordless telephone device of the present invention is data in which a telephone directory serial number, name information, telephone number information, and thumbnail image data are associated with each communication partner. With respect to telephone directory data, slave device transfer data transmitting unit (125) transmits only telephone directory serial number and thumbnail image data after conversion in association with each other, to the cordless phone slave device. In a case where there is an incoming call destined to a specific cordless phone slave device from a subscriber line, call control unit (121) transmits the telephone directory serial number, the name information, and the telephone number information of the telephone directory data of a caller, together with incoming information, to the cordless phone slave device.
Abstract: A method, implemented at a server of an operations control center of a telematics service provider, for transmitting commands to a network access device, is described. The method involves creating one or more command data packets, each comprising a payload and control information, the control information identifying an AT command air interface. The method further involves transmitting, by the server, the command data packets to the network access device via the AT command air interface, wherein the AT command air interface is a first tunnel extending through a network of the vehicular telematics unit. In addition, a method, implemented at a baseband processor of a network access device of a vehicular telematics unit, for receiving commands from a server of an operations control center and a system for transmitting commands between a server of an operations control center and a network access device are also described.

Abstract: A time-reversal positioning system includes a storage storing first data representing channel impulse responses derived from probe signals sent from a plurality of positions and second data representing coordinates of the positions. A data processor determines a position of a terminal device based on the stored channel impulse responses and a time-reversed signal determined based on a time-reversed version of a channel impulse response that is estimated based on a channel probing signal sent from the terminal device.
