Abstract: A system for providing shade onto a surface is described herein. The system includes a canopy configured for engagement with, and aerial suspension by, a frame. The frame includes a plurality of sections configured for end-to-end alignment from a left end to a right end of the frame. Each section is configured to engage with any adjacent sections to form the frame. The ends of the frame are secured to the surface, thereby aerially suspending the canopy and providing shade to the surface.

Abstract: Disclosed is an umbrella with dual arms to tighten a fabric or sheet material cover for a clean look and ability to brand. With the dual arms, or spokes, the framework can be created that is solid while operating in the manner of a traditional umbrella.

Abstract: Devices and methods for assisting and guiding a person with visual and/or hearing impairment. In various embodiments there is a computer-guided, motorized walking stick. Preferably, at least one wheel at the distal end of the stick, and in contact with the ground, can be steered or pivoted over a range of angles, and thus establish a desired direction. In yet other embodiments there are one or more powered wheels that further drive the walking stick in the desired direction. Various algorithms are disclosed for providing instructions to the computer controller by way of various input devices. Still further embodiments include various types of sensors that provide data to the computer with regards to objects proximate to the walking stick.

Abstract: A protective covering device for outdoor equipment includes a tube and a lid. The tube is sized complementarily to an outdoor article, such as an outdoor element of an air conditioning system, to an exterior element of a heat pump system, or to an outdoor evaporative cooler. The tube is positionable around the outdoor article so that a bottom of the tube is substantially coplanar with a lower end of the outdoor article. The tube protects substantially all side surfaces of the outdoor article from solar radiation, weather, and airborne debris. A plurality of apertures is positioned in the tube and allows airflow into and out of the tube. The lid is selectively engageable to a top of the tube and thus protects an upper surface of the outdoor article.

Abstract: Walking assistance devices and systems for rehabilitation system for reducing the knee adduction moment in a user, reducing stress on the knee, and potentially slowing deterioration of the knee associated with osteoarthritis of the knee and delaying the need for knee replacement surgery. In one embodiment the walking assistance device includes a handle or grip portion, a shaft portion, and a base portion having a rocker bottom which reduces the knee adduction moment on the stance leg of a user.

Abstract: The canopy mounting and support system is a temporary shelter. The canopy mounting and support system includes a plurality of support structures, a tarpaulin, and a plurality of vertically oriented anchor structures. The plurality of support structures secures the tarpaulin to the plurality of vertically oriented anchor structures. The plurality of support structures elevates the tarpaulin above a protected space formed by the canopy mounting and support system.

Abstract: A stowable and deployable shelter may include a frame structure with a first support arch pivotably attached to a base at a pair of pivot points, and a second support arch pivotably attached to the first support arch via a pair of slidable hinges. The slidable hinges are positioned to translate along the first support arch toward and away from the pair of pivot points. In some embodiments, at least one of the slidable hinges includes a locking mechanism for releasably locking the at least one slidable hinge at a selected location along the first support arch. In some embodiments, the hinges may be fixed instead of being slidable. The support arches support a fabric shell to form an interior of the shelter. The base may include a sled container having runners for sliding through snow or across terrain.

The umbrella is easy to use and is mounted stably and reliably and also provides a wider illumination range.

Abstract: A foot for a medical mobility device includes an upper portion, a traction surface, and a cushion ring. The upper portion has an opening at a first end for receiving an end of a medical mobility device and an upper portion post extending from a second end away from the opening. The traction surface has a core element that includes a cylindrical post extending upwardly from the traction surface. The upper portion is secured atop the core element. The cylindrical post is adhered to the upper portion post thereby defining a space between the upper portion and the traction surface, and the cushion ring is positioned in the space.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a combinable tent, including a plurality of tent modules and channel modules connected to the tent modules. Each of the tent modules has a spatial structure formed by multiple surfaces in a surrounding mode, and at least one opening configured to be connected to a corresponding one of the channel modules is arranged in at least one of the surfaces; and each of the channel modules includes a channel and zipper assemblies arranged at two ends of the channel, where the zipper assemblies are configured to implement communication between the channel modules and communication between the channel modules and the tent modules.

Abstract: A camping tent heating assembly for keeping campers warm in a camping tent includes a camping tent that has a floor. A heating pad is positionable beneath the floor of the camping tent such that the heating pad is in thermal communication with the floor. The heating pad heats the floor when the heating pad is turned on to warm campers that are sleeping in the camping tent. A connection box is coupled to the heating pad and the connection box is in electrical communication with the heating pad. A control unit is in electrical communication with the connection box for turning the heating pad on and off. The control unit has a heat adjustment control to adjust a temperature of the heating pad between a minimum temperature and a maximum temperature.

The tip assembly includes a tip rod detachably disposed on a distal end of an outer cylindrical rib of a rib and a protection piece arranged at a distal end of the tip rod. The tip rod is provided with a mounting hole for mounting the distal end of the outer cylindrical rib therein. The protection piece includes a curved outer surface and an inner surface opposite to the outer surface. The outer surface is abutting against respective support ends of a canopy, without exposed outside the canopy. The distal end of the tip rod is located at the inner surface of the protection piece to be protected thereon. Thereby the tip assembly will not have a sharp end or expose outside the canopy while the canopy is extended by the plurality of ribs.
